We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. - That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.

He Lives!

                We celebrate Easter because Jesus Christ was resurrected.  If His body had remained in the tomb, there would be no Easter.  We celebrate Easter because He lives and we can live again because He overcame death.

                In addition to providing “Because He lives,” the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints made the following statement for Easter 2015:  

                “Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the power of His Resurrection, all of God’s children will be raised unto life eternal.  He gave us His Beloved Son as our Savior to make that possible.  The Savior in Gethsemane and on Golgotha paid the price of our sins so that we could be cleansed.  That purifying can come to those who have faith in Jesus Christ.”
                “The darkness of death is dispelled by the light of revealed truth.  `I am the resurrection, and the life,’ spoke the Master.  `He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:  And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die’ (John 11:25).
                “The assurance of life beyond the grave provides the peace promised by the Savior when He said to His disciples:  `Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you:  not as the world giveth, give I unto you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid’ (John 14:27).  (Thomas S.                 What more can I say than angels and prophets have said?  He lives!
