Trey Gowdy

            My regular readers know that how I feel about Representative Trey Gowdy. I believe that he is one of the few members of Congress that is truly concerned about the security of Americans. I trust him to do the right thing no matter the personal cost.

            Representative Devin Nunes, the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, broke the news that he had seen reports confirming the surveillance of Donald Trump and his associates. He announced this week that he would temporarily step down aside from investigating any connection between Trump and Russia. He said that he was stepping aside because accusations were filed against him with the Office of Congressional Ethics because he took the information to President Trump before he took it to his committee. Only liberals think he did a bad thing.

            Nunes says that he will continue to be the chairman of the committee even though he is stepping aside from the Russia probe. He says that Representative Mike Conaway (R-Texas) will temporarily be in charge of the investigation into any connection between Trump and Russia. Conaway will be assisted by Representatives Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) and Tom Rooney (R-Fla.).

            I think the liberals “bit off more than they can chew” when they forced Nunes to step aside. Now they will have to contend with Gowdy, who has the well-earned nickname of “Bull Dog” and who will get to the bottom of the investigation as quickly as possible. He will not put up with any of the liberal crap!
