Walk Away Movememt

I have often wondered how the common, every-day member of the Democrat Party can continue to support their party. Some of the things that are said and done by the so-called “leaders” of the party – think Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, and Maxine Waters – are truly outlandish. An excellent example is when Maxine Waters called for leftists to “push back” against members of the Trump administration.

The “walk away” movement has been happening for years because people grew tired of the Democrat Party. Ronald Reagan walked away in 1962 because the party left its principles. More recently, actor James Woods walked away in 1998 after Bill Clinton was impeached. He has since retired due to the fact that he was black listed because of his conservative views. The movement picked up speed after Brandon Straka posted on Facebook that he was walking away and #WalkAway went viral.

Those who choose to walk away do so for a variety of reasons. However, they seem to be affected by the hate and violence that has taken over the Democrat Party. Black and Hispanic people, in particular, seem to be realizing that the party is using them. They can see that the country is improving - the economy is growing, jobs are back, and the country did not implode with the election of Donald Trump.

The people are waking up and seeing things as they really are instead of how the Democrat Party says they are. They are not dumb and blind and can think for themselves. They are taking their allegiance away from the party. It seems that the Democrat Party leaders have used some of their members for the last time.
