How Can Parents Protect Their Children Against Pressure Groups?

Families, communities, and nations are stronger when parents are strong advocates for their children AND understand that children and adolescents cannot make important and informed decisions because their brains are not fully developed. Children and teenagers need loving and informed parents who are willing to stand with their child against pressure groups.

The State of Florida recently made the parental job a little easier. Taxpayers in Florida will no longer be forced to fund transgender hormone treatments and surgeries if the legislation becomes law. Taxpayers will no longer be compelled to pay for “procedures that alter primary or secondary sexual characteristics.”

This legislation came about because concerned parents asked state officials to do more to protect minors. They were supported by at least one teenager who had her breasts surgically removed before she detransitioned back to being female. Chloe Cole began transitioning from female to male when she was 13 years old. She changed her mind after having a double mastectomy.

I don’t know if I’ll be able to fully carry a child and I might be at increased risk for certain cancers, namely cervical cancer. And because I do not have my breasts … I am not able to breastfeed whatever future children I have…. That realization actually was one of the biggest things that lead to me realizing that this was not the path that I should have taken.

I literally lost organs.

No child should have to experience what I have…. My consent was not informed, and I was filled with modernism.

Cole’s statement is supported by known facts of neural development in adolescents. Research shows that the brain is not fully developed until early adulthood. According to Jennifer Bauwens, director of the Family Research Council’s Center for Family Studies, “The fact of the matter is, you really can’t have informed consent as an adolescent.” This means that the brain is not developed enough to make wise, weighty decisions.

January Littlejohn testified at the hearing that “gender-dysphoric children are being encouraged, through activism and peer pressure, to disassociate from their bodies and t4o believe that their body parts can be removed and modified or replaced.” She stated that the Leon County School District let her child transition to another gender without her consent.

This hearing took place in Florida, but the battle to protect the rising generation is raging in all parts of the United States. Wise and loving parents will educate themselves about what is happening their schools and communities and become knowledgeable advocates for the rising generation. The world needs wise parents to advocate for their children, and such parents can strengthen their families, communities, and nations.
