Why Does Biden Have Classified Material in His Private Residences?

The U.S. Department of Justice is still searching for classified material in the residences of President Joe Biden. The FBI searched the Penn Biden Center, Biden’s main home in Wilmington, and now his vacation home at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware – three months after classified material was first found in the Penn Biden Center. During the searches by the FBI and Biden’s attorney’s classified material has been found from Biden’s time as vice president to Barack Obama and during Biden’s time in the U.S. Senate.

Questions are rampant about why Biden has the classified material at all. Classified material is supposed to remain in a skiff in the Capitol Building. From the time that I handled classified documents on an Air Force Base, I know that classified material is signed out and signed back in. It is protected at all times. So, the question is, “How did Biden take the material out of the building without being caught?” If I failed to sign classified material back into the vault, someone would come to get it!  Why didn’t the person in charge of the classified material come to get it from Biden?

Biden has had classified material in his possession from his days in the U.S. Senate – a period of time from January 3, 1973, to January 15, 2009 – as well as from his time as vice president – January 20, 2009, to January 20, 2017. So, Biden has illegally possessed classified material for at least six years as former vice president and up to fifty years as a former senator.

Tyler O’Neil published an article at The Daily Signal on the topic of Biden’s classified material. In his article, O’Neil made the following statement.

Biden’s attorneys found classified documents at the former vice president’s office at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C., [in November 2022] and at the president’s residence in Wilmington, Delaware [in December]. Classified documents dating from Biden’s time in the U.S. Senate have also been discovered. Attorney General Merrick Garland tapped Robert Hur, a former U.S. attorney for Maryland whom former President Donald Trump appointed, to investigate the document retention. It remains unclear where Biden kept the documents later discovered at the Penn Biden Center. Biden left office on Jan. 20, 2017, and the center did not open until early 2018. The FBI searched the Penn Biden Center last November.

So far, no one knows what is in the documents – other than the statement that they contain information about Ukraine, China, and Great Britain. Zack Smith, legal fellow at the Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies at The Heritage Foundation, gave the following statement to The Daily  Signal:

Today’s announcement that the FBI is searching Biden’s beach home highlights the urgent need for Biden and his administration to be forthcoming with the American people and members of Congress about the factual circumstances surrounding his retention of classified documents.

So far, we don’t know what was contained within those documents, why he retained them, or who had access to them. The administration has even refused to provide most of this basic information to members of Congress in a classified setting. The American people deserve better.

The biggest question that I have is, “Is Biden compromised? Has he been working with the enemies of the United States to undermine the United States? In other words, has he sold America down the river to our enemies?
