After nearly two-years the
investigation into the Russian collusion came to an end. Robert Mueller
delivered his report to Attorney General William Barr. Barr, in turn, wrote a
four-page letter to let the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate
know what he saw as the bottom line of the report. Mueller found no collusion
with Russia by Donald Trump, his campaign, or any American, and he did not find
enough evidence to charge Trump with obstruction of justice.
Democrats have gone on a feeding
frenzy trying to force Barr to give them the entire report. Barr continues to
say that he is acting according to the laws that the Democrats put in place
after the investigation into Bill Clinton’s sex episodes in the Oval Office.
Barr says that he is working with Mueller to make sure that no inappropriate information
is released, such as information from grand juries, classified information,
information about ongoing investigations, methods of investigations, etc. He
claims that he will release as much of the information as possible as soon as
possible. That is not enough to satisfy Democrats.
Barr was called to testify before a
House panel yesterday where he was grilled by House Democrats. There he
indicated that results from a separate investigation into alleged misconduct of
Justice Department officials will be released in the next couple of months. The
following four issues were included by Barr in his testimony: (1) FISA abuse probe
into the investigation targeting Carter Page, (2) Making the Mueller report
public, (3) Obamacare lawsuit, and (4) Illegal immigration and border

Barr’s demeanor and testimony both
show that he will not be railroaded by Democrats. He will follow the law and
give them exactly what the law allows them to have and nothing more. It seems
that Trump finally found an Attorney General with a backbone who knows the
importance of law and following the Constitution.
