Fake Racism

            Jussie Smollett allegedly staged a fake attack in Chicago, apparently in order to fire up the simmering race war in our nation. Smollett’s problem became much bigger when Chicago law enforcement officers – many of whom are black – found evidence that he allegedly orchestrated the attack. However, he had some powerful political connections, such as his aunt Kamala Harris and the Obamas, and was set free. He was holding “a hot potato” but was able to pass it off to prosecutor Kim Foxx who dropped all charges against Smollett and sought to seal the entire file on him.

            Foxx supposedly recused herself from the case, but she did not take the required official actions to make it official. Because she took over the case again and let Smollett off the hook, she is now holding the “hot potato.” However, she is crying racism too! Numerous police chiefs are voting “no confidence” in her, and she is crying racism because there were no black police chiefs among them. It seems that the police chiefs from all the districts were invited, but only the white ones showed up. Does that make the white ones racists? No! The whole case does not make sense to anyone.

            The case does not make sense to the black Chicago police superintendent or his officers (many of whom are black) who did the investigation. It does not make sense to the real victims of racism or the black victims of real crime in Chicago. It does not make sense to any resident of Chicago who has gone without police protection because of funding problems.

            The cries of racism do not make sense to any intelligent person. The only people to whom it makes sense are those who are striving to divide our nation along racial lines. The rest of us are trying to treat each other with respect while having accusations of “racist” thrown in our faces by the real racists. It is time that the real racists realize that few people are listening to the cries of racism any longer because it has been overused by liberals and race-baiters. It is time for all Americans to stand up to those who seek to divide us. We are one nation under God even though we are composed of numerous races.
