No Socialism in America

It is a sad day in America when the President of the United States is forced to denounce socialism during his State of the Union address! Yet, it happened on February 5, 2019, when President Donald Trump said these words

Here, in the United States, we are alarmed by new calls to adopt socialism in our country. America was founded on liberty and independence --- not government coercion, domination, and control. We are born free, and we will stay free. Tonight, we renew our resolve that America will never be a socialist country.

Why would the President feel the need to even mention the godless doctrine? This is only an assumption on my part because I do not have access to all the information that the President has. However, I believe that he defended democracy against socialism because the young adults of the nation are gravitating toward socialism.

Even at a time when Venezuela is imploding because of socialism, the rising generation thinks that socialism is better than democracy. How can this be? Well, it probably starts in the public school system of the nation and continues through university classes. The children and young adults are being indoctrinated to believe that socialism is good. Judi McLeod has an excellent idea on how to combat the evil teaching.

Parents with school and university age children can make the Democrat-endorsed “Green New Deal” a prime opportunity for a teachable moment, to turn the tables on socialists running amok in Congress.

Children can be taught at home what they’re never taught in class that socialism kills human souls and human hope, that it has a proven track record of bankrupting entire nations leaving their populations to starve.

Lessons need not be long, but short and to the point, backed up by unfailing repetition.
Parents can boost their children over the wall of indoctrination, long ago made impregnable by what is entrenched in the Public School System.

The wall no one’s talking about is the one that was built to keep younger generations from ever coming upon the truth in the classrooms of our day. Students from kindergarten on are being taught that America and the capitalist system are evil and kept from the truth that Socialism Kills.

Teach children that while their parents and grandparents may have lived a life of freedom, they are destined to live out their lives in socialist misery if the Democrats get their way.

The home is the basic unit of society, and parents are the most important teachers in a child’s life. However, parents abdicated their responsibility to teach truth to their children and gave the opportunity to the public school system. Parents now must accept their responsibility and start teaching truth to their children.

Teaching the truth of democracy to the children should not take a lot of time for those parents who already have the knowledge. However, it might take both time and effort for parents who have been asleep and not yet gained the knowledge. My own daughter once told me that she sort of likes socialism and the way that it supposedly takes care of people. I hope and pray that she will never have to live in a nation that is truly socialist!
