Stephen Miller

            My VIP for this week is Stephen Miller, a senior White House adviser. However, I am not really sure why I chose him. I think that it might have something to do with his Sunday appearance on CBS’s Face the Nation” where he responded to a question from CBS’s Margaret Brennan. She asked who was to blame for the death of the seven-year old migrant girl who crossed the border illegally with her father and then died after being taken into custody by Customs and Border Patrol. Miller did not miss a beat with his answer.

Our hearts break for the tragic death of the 7-year-old girl. The loss of that precious life is horrifying. It is a painful reminder of the ongoing humanitarian tragedy that is illegal immigration and the misery that it spreads.

            All Americans agree that the girl’s death is tragic. It is sad when children have to pay for the mistakes made by their parents and other adults.  Most Americans understand that it was the approximately 2,000 mile trip and several days without food and water that made her ill. However, the liberals are using her death for political reasons when even her father says that the Border Patrol agents did everything that they could to save her. Miller pointed out in his interview that Border Patrols saves thousands of lives every year by rescuing people who are entering the nation illegally and getting into trouble. Miller pinned the responsibility for the “ongoing humanitarian tragedy that is illegal immigration” on left-wing activists who are judges in the U.S. judicial system.

One of the great tragedies that is going on in our country today is the loopholes in our immigration laws and the deficiencies in our immigration laws. And left-wing, activist judicial rulings that incentivize the most vulnerable populations to come to our country.

            Miller did not even blink when pressed with the question of whether or not the Trump administration would shut down the government unless Congress provides funding for a wall.

This is a very fundamental issue. At stake is the question of whether or not the United States remains a sovereign country. Whether or not we can establish and enforce rules for entrance into our country. The Democrat Party has a simple choice, they can either choose to fight for America’s working class or to promote illegal immigration.

            Miller was on full blast. He was answering questioning in a fire-hose style. Brennan could hardly get a word in, but she kept trying to trip him up. The entire interview can be found here in print and with video.

            I appreciate people who have a spine strong enough to stand firm in the face left-wing hypocrisy and lies. I like Miller and his willingness to stand firm for correct principles.
