Where Is This Road Taking America?

            The liberty principle for this Freedom Friday concerns the need for wide awake, well-informed citizens to preserve liberty and prosperity. The eight-month-long disaster of the Joe Biden presidency should convince everyone of this need. However, it leaves the question of why people would vote for a man who has proven to be so incapable of leading the nation.

This incapacity was evident to many people during the presidential campaign when he barely left his home to campaign. So, why did 81 million people vote for Biden?  This is a question that I have been pondering since Biden was announced as the winner. I have considered the following possibilities:

·         Biden voters are die-hard Democrats who vote for the person with a D in front of their name no matter their qualifications.

·         Biden voters were deceived by mainstream media and political liars.

·         Biden voters had Trump Derangement Syndrome and would vote for anyone that was not Trump.

·         Biden voters hated Donald Trump so much that their hearts were hardened and their minds were blinded to Biden’s faults as well as the good that Trump had accomplished.

·         Biden voters studied the issues and felt that Biden was the best candidate for them as an individual, for their family, and/or for the nation. They prayed for confirmation on their decision and felt that they received a positive answer from God.

While there may be some truth to all the possibilities, the last one has caused most of my

pondering. I have wondered why some good people sincerely seeking to know the Lord’s will would be prompted to vote for Biden, while other people who were just as good and sincere would be prompted to vote for Trump. I have not discovered the answer to my questions, but I have found peace.

            Everything that Biden has done in the past eight months has been exactly opposite to what Trump did in his first administration and would have continued in his second. Trump worked for a secure southern border, while Biden opened the border wide. Trump had a conditional withdrawal plan for Afghanistan, while Biden did not seem to have a plan at all. Trump had the economy roaring with the highest stock market rates and the lowest unemployment rates for men, women, white, black, Hispanic, Asian, teenagers, etc. Biden’s economy has inflation rising steadily. Trump caused allies and enemies alike to respect America. Biden has caused enemies to mock and to laugh at America, and allies to distrust America and to wonder what happened to America.

            This is my reasoning. Joe Biden is leading America down a completely different road than Donald Trump would have taken us. America prospered under Trump and would have prospered again during a second term. If America continues traveling down the road of Biden, it may end in near total destruction of the nation and the Constitution hanging by a thread.

            Here is my conclusion: Prophets have foretold for thousands of years that the world would be in total chaos before Jesus Christ returns to rule and reign on earth. With Trump as the President of the United States and the leader of the free world, there would be prosperity and happiness – a totally different scenario than the one foretold by prophets.

However, Biden is taking America down a road that could end in total chaos in the world – just as foretold by the prophets. Therefore, Biden is taking us down a road that we would not have traveled under Trump, but this is the road that we must travel before the Savior can return.

By traveling this road, the true nature of all people is being exposed. The evil and corruption in the government is being revealed for what it is. The supporters and partakers of the dishonesty are gathering on one side, while the good, sincere, and righteous people are gathering on the other side. This does not mean that all the Biden voters are on one side, and all the Trump supporters are on the other side. It merely means that the conditions along this road are exposing the truth about all people, and people are joining others like unto themselves.

The only people who will survive the Second Coming of Christ are those who are listening to His voice and who are keeping His commandments. The evil and corrupt will be destroyed by fire, and the righteous will live on the cleansed earth with the Savior for a thousand years. I hope to be living on the cleansed earth.
