Hypocrisy is defined as “the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one’s own behavior does not conform; pretense” by an online dictionary. “Hypocrite” (or “whited sepulcher”) was an unwelcome descriptive given by Jesus Christ to those pretending to be righteous but who were not.
According
to an article by Elise McCue in The Daily Signal, Hollywood as a whole
is a hypocrite and practices hypocrisy. She gave Ezra Miller as an example. Hollywood
rolled out the red carpet for Miller, the star of “The Flash,” but hopes that
we will not consider Miller’s personal life. There are “allegations of sexual
misconduct and petty crimes” swirling around him, but Hollywood has “turned the
other cheek.” McCue compared Hollywood’s treatment of Miller with that of Gina
Carano.
Carano
was starring in the “Star Wars” television series known as “The Mandalorian”
when she tweeted about comparisons between “America’s political state and that
of Nazi Germany.” Carano shared other non-liberal beliefs, and she quickly lost
her contract with Lucasfilm.
Another
comparison by McCue was Tim Allen’s sitcom “Last Man Standing” that was
cancelled “at the height of its success, when it was averaging a viewership of
8.1 million per week.” The show was “ABC’s most-watched sitcom during the
2016-17 season.” Many people believe that the show was cancelled because it “often
criticized the Left and made it the butt of many jokes.”
McCue
considers the treatment given to “Carano and Allen versus Miller” to be “a very
clear message.” That message is: “Hollywood aims to silence and destroy
conservatives.” It does not seem to matter what Hollywood stars say or do as
long as they are complicit with the Left.
The
latest hypocrisy being shown by the Left is the treatment given to the new
movie about sex trafficking “Sound to Freedom.” Hollywood had the rights to the
story but declined to make the movie. Angel Studios purchased the rights and
made the movie, which was the top-selling movie on Independence Day. Now the
Left is trying to destroy the movie – but the word is out! Too many people have
seen the movie and are encouraging all Americans to see it.
