The Obama Re-Election Campaign recently introduced a
web site entitled the "Life of Julia," which
clearly shows the liberal belief that government can take better care of us
that we can do for ourselves. It
portrays the life of one woman who was born during 2009 - Obama's first year in
office - until she is 67 years old. It
seems to anticipate that Obama is in charge of the government for 67 years. It takes "Julia" from birth through
pre-school to college to Medicare to Social Security - always with assistance
and aid from the government. It also
shows how her life would be different on Mitt Romney's policies.
The Heritage Foundation believes that people
should be in charge of their own lives and should be empowered with personal
liberty and economic opportunities.
Heritage has a presentation showing "A Better Life for Julia" using conservative principles. There are
interesting facts supporting every suggested conservative reform.
Heritage also has a plan for Saving the American Dream. The site has ideas and suggestions covering tax reform, health care and
Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and government spending; it explains how
these affect millennials, families, low-income workers, entrepreneurs, baby
boomers, and retirees. The site has a
lot of information in it and is well worth the time to search it.
