“Sound of Freedom” is an action thriller that exposes the child sex slave trade. It was made by Angel Studios and featured Jim Caviezel as the hero. It also sold more tickets heading into the July 4th opening day than “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” starring Harrison Ford.
In
a telephone interview with The Daily Signal, Jordan Harmon, co-owner of Angel
Studios shared the following information.
As exciting that it is to hit the number 1
spot for this summer opening, it doesn’t even come close to the excitement that
the number means for awareness of this issue….
Harmon said Angel had internal data
showing that the film would likely bring in “significantly more than anybody
project,” but “this blew us away.”
“The early projections had sound of
freedom at $10 million for the whole week, to do $14-plus million on opening
day is wild,” he added. “We’re thrilled to death, there’s a lot to do and there’s
awareness to be brought to this incredible cause.”
“That number is a reflection of the lives
that will be rescued from this darkness,” Harmon declared.
So,
what is the draw for “Sound of Freedom”? The movie tells the story of Tim
Ballard (played by Caviezel), who worked as an agent for the Department of Homeland
Security. When his government job kept him from going into certain nations to
rescue children, Ballard quit his job and formed a company that has “rescued
hundreds of children from sex slavery.” Ballard is warning that the opening
borders of the Biden administration – plus its transgender ideology – is aiding
and abetting “the evils of the global child sex slave trade.” Caviezel has also
spoken out against the mainstream media that buried this issue and other critical
