I check the news several times
each day in order to stay aware of what is happening in the world. I found
several items in the news that could have devastating results. There is a
situation in Syria where Assad is killing his own people. This is causing harsh
words between Russia and the United States and fear among the citizens. Many people are wondering if World
War III will break out at any minute, but still wanting to stop the genocide
going on in Syria.
There is the FBI raid on the home
and business of the personal attorney for the President of the United States.
There are some very real questions about
what is constitutional, whether or not the special counsel and the FBI have
gone rogue, and how the attorney-client privilege is supposed to work.
There is President Trump’s call for National
Guard units to be sent to the southern border to keep undocumented aliens out
of the United States. It seems that most states are slow to send their
guardsmen. A couple of states have quickly mobilized their units, and other
states have refused or put limits on what their guard personnel can do.
We watched the arrogant owner of
Facebook appear before a Senate committee to answer questions about why the
company is treating conservatives unfairly and what they are doing with
personal information. There are the continuing efforts by leftists to down any
business that is pro-gun. Some businesses are standing firm, but many
businesses are caving to leftist demands.
There is no doubt in my mind that
these news items can be important to our nation. However, I have a difficult
time focusing on any of them. There are too many crises happening without any
real action being taken.
I do not want to see Hillary Clinton’s
face or hear anything about her unless she is being indicted and sent to
prison. She should have gone into retirement when she lost the election! I do
not care if the Speaker of the House is retiring unless we will get someone who
will stand up to the leftists. If we are getting another one just like our
current speaker, what difference does it make? I may just stop checking the
news!
