Who Is Bishop E. Evans?

My VIP for this week is Specialist Bishop E. Evans, a 22-year-old member of the Texas Army National Guard who gave his life to save the lives of other people. Evans was with the Texas Army National Guard on the southern border of the United States when he saw two undocumented immigrants attempting to cross the Rio Grande River in Eagle Pass, Texas.

Evans has been a member of the Texas Army National Guard since 2019, and he has served in Iraq and Kuwait. He is remembered by friends and family as “a positive, fun-loving, and selfless young man” and someone with an “unequivocal desire to help others in need.” This explains why he was willing to lose his life to help others who he saw in danger. He was reported missing until his body was recovered on April 25.

Texas Rangers confirmed that the two illegal aliens survived because Evans made his brave sacrifice and lost his life. The two undocumented aliens participated in “illicit transnational narcotics trafficking.” The reason that Evans was on the border is the failure of the Biden administration to control the border. He answered the call of Governor Abbott and his commanders and went to the border. Yet, neither President Joe Biden nor his spokesperson have the spine to recognize the reason for his death and to console his grieving family and friends.
