What Can We Expect From Either Presidential Candidate?

Election Day will be over by the time that this essay posts, but Americans may not know for days who the next President of the United States will be. Whoever wins the election will determine the border and immigration policy for the next four years.

Simon Hankinson, a senior research fellow in the Border Security and Immigration Center at The Heritage Foundation, gave his best “educated guesses as to what border and immigration policy would look like under either a Trump or Harris administration,” but he qualified his guesses by stating “but nothing is certain.” Hankinson “looked at what the candidates and parties actually said.”

The Republican Party platform of 2024, written after Trump was the party’s nominee and with his obvious input, stresses “the interests of American workers … over the claims of foreign nationals seeking the same jobs.”

In its one-page Chapter 2 (of 10), the platform says the priority should be to “secure our borders and all ports of entry and to enforce our immigration laws.” For those who break those laws, it continues, “we oppose any form of amnesty.”

Republicans believe the U.S. has been and remains “a haven of refuge” but want to limit asylum to “cases of political, ethnic, or religious persecution.” The platform warns that “refugees who cannot be carefully vetted cannot be admitted to the country.”

In a second term, Trump likely would pursue the same strategy as in his first term, albeit with improved tactics, given some hard lessons learned in the first term….

Trump is often criticized by Harris for opposing a supposedly bipartisan Senate border bill earlier this year. Most Republicans rejected the bill because it would have locked into law controversial Biden administration mass parole programs then allow up to 1.8 million inadmissible aliens to be released into the country each year while they await their immigration hearings, which could be years down the road. (A tougher Secure the Border Act of 2023 passed the House in May 2023 but was not taken up by the Senate.) Here is Trump’s probable agenda for border action, in three key points:

1. Reinstate the Migrant Protection Protocols (also known as “Remain in Mexico”) and Safe Third Country agreements….

2. Resume and ramp up enforcement of immigration laws in the interior of the country. Trump has spoke of the “largest deportation program in American history.” …

3. Prioritize “merit-based immigration,” meaning that the U.S. should select legal immigrants based on factors like youth, job skills, and education and what they can contribute to the United States rather than merely family relationships.

The Democratic Party platform states, “We must secure our border and fix a broken immigration system,” but credits President Joe Biden’s executive actions that “created innovative legal pathways that … have decreased illegal border crossings.” This is a reference, among other things, to Biden’s parole programs that allow specific countries and classes of aliens to arrive illegally at U.S. borders and airports, where they are then paroled in by Customs and Border Protection.

The party platform states Democrats want to “reform the asylum system” by making the process quicker…. It also proposes to “expand legal immigration” and supports a “pathway [to legalization] for long-term undocumented individuals.”

As for Harris, she has slowly clarified her stance on the border during her campaign. It is difficult to distinguish her positions materially from the Biden administration policies of the past four years….

Here is Harris’s probable agenda for border action, in three key points:

1. At the border – Current “lawful pathways,” including mass parole and mass release into the country, would remain the policy at and between ports of entry, presenting marginal impediments to illegal entry. Alternate methods like the Welcome Corps of bringing in additional migrants – whether they qualify as refugees or not – would likely be ramped up.

2. Limited interior enforcement – Once aliens enter and claim asylum, Harris (and current administration talking points) both say that “those who are determined not to have a legal basis to remain should be quickly removed.” But evidence from the past four years suggests that few aliens, once allowed to enter, would be deported.

3. Amnesty – Passing a law to legalize some or all illegal aliens is her clear policy goal. If that is not possible, a Harris administration would fall back on deferred or non-prosecution. Either way, most foreign nationals living here illegally would be permitted to remain. An amnesty bill could contain some procedural requirements, such as proving payment of taxes or proving no criminal record, but a lack of these would not mean automatic deportation.

No one knows for sure what either of the candidates would do if elected to be President of the United States. However, we can look at their records and make educated guesses. I expect a re-elected President Trump to do much the same as he did during his first term, while expecting a President Harris to continue most of the policies of the Biden-Harris administration.

Why Is a Vote for Kamala Harris a Vote Against America?

The topic of discussion for this Constitution Monday is the 2024 presidential election that is ending – finally. There are just three more days until Election Day 2024. Within the next week, Americans should know who they have elected to preside over the United States for the next four years.

Former President Donald Trump is having a lot of fun as he crisscrosses the nation. He took the time to work a fifteen-minute shift at McDonalds and to make a meme about taking out the trash. He is hitting the seven swing states time after time as well as campaigning in deep blue states such as New York and New Mexico.

Vice President Kamala Harris is not having fun. In fact, her campaign of “joy” disappeared weeks ago. All that she has now is anger and hate. She offers no insights into her planned policies but has a constant string of smears about Trump. Here is what the great Victor Davis Hanson had to say about the way that Harris is ending her campaign with lies and smears.

In the last two weeks, Vice President Kamala Harris has been trying to revive her stagnant campaign by smearing former President Donald Trump as being Hitlerian and a fascist. She claims Trump is planning to put his enemies in encampments.

Yet in the modern era, it was not Trump who put large numbers of U.S. residents and citizens into “relocation camps,” but liberal Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt who sent Japanese American citizens and residents into them.

If Harris refers to Trump’s supposed fascist policies during his prior four-year tenure, there is no such evidence.

Nonetheless, the once “joyful” Harris is ending her campaign by trafficking in lies and smears reminiscent of the Joe McCarthy era.

Recall that fascists hijack law enforcement and the military to suspend constitutional rights and punish enemies. But Trump did neither.

Instead, in 2016, a corrupt FBI went after Trump himself during the Obama administration with the bogus Steele dossier.

The FBI, which in 2016 had hired the faker Steele, in 2020, fused with social media to suppress accurate news reporting of the embarrassing Hunter Biden laptop scandal.

A number of FBI directors and intelligence officials – John Brennan, James Clapper, James Comey, Andrew McCabe – who openly sought to destroy Trump had a long history of either lying or feigning amnesia under oath.

Fascists try to warp the legal system. But Trump’s own Justice Department selected an independent special counsel to investigate the invented Russian collusion accusations against him.

In vast contrast, the Biden Justice Department coordinated with Georgia prosecutors Fani Willis and Nathan Wade, special counsel Jack Smith, Manhattan prosecutor Alvin Bragg, and New York Attorney General Letitia James to prosecute Trump, bankrupt him, and keep [him] off the campaign trail.

Fascists use their governments to destroy their enemies.

During Trump’s term, for the first time in history, the House of Representatives impeached a first-term president twice. And in another first, the Senate tried Trump as a private citizen….

Fascists seek to change existing laws to destroy opponents and illegally consolidate power.

Currently, it is only the Democrats who seek to pack the court, destroy the Electoral College, end the Senate filibuster, and create two new states and thus gain four left-wing senators.

In key states, they radically changed voting laws….

Fascists arbitrarily nullify any laws they feel do not aid their agendas. Biden-Harris destroyed immigration law in order to bring in more than 12 million illegal aliens and gain new constituencies.

They also protected sanctuary cities, as some 600 such jurisdictions illegally and with impunity nullified federal immigration laws in neo-Confederate fashion.

Fascists seek to politicize the military.

But in Trump’s case, his former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mark Milley, brazenly violated the Uniform Code of Military Justice by libeling Trump as a fascist.

Worse still, Milley sabotaged the chain of command by ordering theater commanders to report directly to him in times of serious crises.

And in a near-treasonous fashion, Milley contacted his Chinese communist counterpart in the People’s Liberation Army to assure him that he would warn the Chinese military before carrying out any Trump order he felt existentially dangerous….

Fascists seek to control and weaponize the media. So, Facebook and Twitter both conspired with the FBI to censure news accounts favorable to Trump….

Why then the charges of Trump the fascist and Hitler reincarnation?

Simple. Harris’ personal negatives are rising, her polls inert….

Harris is now confirming to voters that she really can neither think nor speak well and has no consistent agenda that appeals to the middle class.

So, in final desperation, Harris is smearing Trump as a fascist, even though, ironically, he has been the target of fascist machinations from her own party and supporters for nearly a decade.

Half of American voters voted against Trump in 2020 and instead voted for Joe Biden even though he was already showing signs of senility. His campaign hid him in a basement with the excuse of the pandemic to keep Americans from seeing the truth about him.

Now, many of those same voters will vote for Harris who campaigns on lies and smears about Trump rather than putting forth policies of how she would make life better for Americans. If Americans elect Harris after living through the past four miserable years, and seeing the evidence of corruption and evil right in front of our eyes, America deserves what it gets.

Biden, Harris, and numerous other people from both political parties are clinging to power. They work for their own benefit rather than working for the benefit of all Americans and bring great corruption into the federal government. In the words of an ancient American prophet-king:

Now it is not common that the voice of the people desireth anything contrary to that which is right; but it is common for the lesser part of the people to desire that which is not right; therefore this shall ye observe and make it your law – to do your business by the voice of the people.

And if the time comes that the voice of the people doth choose iniquity, then is the time that the judgments of God will come upon you; yea, then is the time he will visit you with great destruction even as he has hitherto visited this land (Book of Mormon - Another Testament of Jesus Christ, Mosiah 29:26-27).

Do You Want to Pay More Taxes?

The liberty principle for this Freedom Friday is the simple fact that the government should keep the tax rate low to encourage more work and more production. However, Kamala Harris plans to raise the corporate tax rate if elected as President of the United States, while Donald Trump plans to cut the corporate tax rate if he returns to the Oval Office.

Whoever is elected to be the next POTUS will have a deadline to meet by the end of 2025, or Americans in all states will face a tax increase. According to Christina Lewis, Americans for Prosperity, “a grassroots organization that seeks to transform policy around the country,” did a recent survey that found – surprise, surprise – “most Americans oppose tax increases.” The survey was conducted in September by polling company Public Opinion Strategies by which 1,000 likely voters were asked for their views about taxes. Some of the key findings are:

·         The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, passed by Congress and signed into law by Trump in 2017, expires at the end of next year, but only 40% of voters say they have heard a lot or heard some about portions of the law.

·         Fully 52% of voters said they support increasing corporate tax rates, while 48% said they oppose it.

·         A majority of voters said they believe that raising the corporate tax rate from 21% to 28% would hurt small businesses, consumers, and middle-class families.

Lewis shared other “poll finding that voters would see failure to extend the 2017 tax cuts as a tax increase and that, out of five groups and sectors, voters said a tax increase would hurt middle-class families the most.”

As stated above, Trump has indicated that “he supports extending the tax cuts as one of the landmark accomplishments of his four-year term as president.” On the other hand, Harris has said that she supports “increasing the corporate rate from 21% to 28% to pay for some of the expanded government programs she’s proposed.” In addition, she “took aim at the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act” when “60 Minutes” correspondent Bill Whitaker pressed her about how she would pay for her proposals.

How Do You Handle Anxiety?

Are you feeling anxious about the presidential election? According to an article written by Marjorie Cortez and published in the Deseret News, you are not alone.

According to the American Psychiatric Association’s annual mental health poll, 73% of respondents reported feeling anxious about the upcoming national election.

A higher percentage of respondents said the election made them feel anxious than those who identified current events and gun violence. Only the economy, which 77% of the sample of more than 2,200 adults who responded to the poll said made them anxious, was higher. The poll was conducted April 9-11, 2024.

The poll also showed that adults are feeling increasingly anxious. In 2024, 43% of adults said they feel more anxious than they did the previous year, up from 37% in 2023 and 32% in 2022.

According to University of Utah Lifelong Learning instructor Debbie Leaman, writing is a good way to cope with anxiety. “Starting Sept. 7, she will be teaching a Lifelong Learning course on five successive Saturday morning titled ‘Writing as a Tool to Cope with Anxiety.’”

“The good news? Writing can help. Studies have shown that unloading persistent thoughts onto the page can alleviate anxiety, provide distance, and a new perspective. In my class, we’ll learn how putting pen to paper can help re-center us and calm our minds.”

The Lifelong Learning center offers seven classes this fall, with the other six classes being “The Voice of Reason: Writing Letters to the Editor,” “Beyond the Headlines: Fact-Checking and Media Literacy,” “Applied Somatics: Practices for Turbulent Times,” “A Change in Dialogue: Effective Communication,” “Adobe In Design: Creating a Basic Newsletter,” and “An Introduction to Antidiscrimination Response.”

Lifelong Learning has been offering non-credit classes to the community for more than 60 years. Some of the classes are one-day workshops while others last up to eight weeks. Attendees are not required to enlist at the University of Utah.

The University Connected Learning is based in Salt Lake City and was founded in 1906. More than 25,000 learners enrolled annually, and they come from all over the world. You can learn more at this site.

I suggest another way to handle anxiety or fear: keeping a daily journal. Writing down thoughts and feelings releases them from the mind and keeps the brain from building up more anxiety. I find that expressing daily gratitude is also helpful. At the end of my daily journal entry, I include five people, events, or things for which I am grateful, which can be anything from clean water and fresh air to my children and grandchildren to blessings from God.

Did You Listen to the Musk-Trump Discussion?

Last night – after a 30-to-40 minutes delay, Elon Musk and Donald Trump had a long “conversation” on Musk’s social media platform X. They discussed many topics, including illegal immigration, violent crime, dangerous foreign leaders, the toll of high inflation and taxes, and the need to cut government spending and regulations while at the same time encouraging domestic production of oil and natural gas.”

Musk openly endorsed Trump and said that he was voting for him. However, he was a moderate Democrat who enthusiastically supported Barack Obama but voted reluctantly for Biden in 2020. Musk has not always supported Trump, but he “has financially supported a pro-Trump political action committee” for this presidential campaign.

Fred Lucas discussed the following “seven key takeaways from the Trump-Musk discussion” in his article published at The Daily Signal.

1. ‘Government Efficiency Commission’

“They want the American dream back,” Trump said of Americans at one point, talking about soaring prices for eggs, bacon, milk, and other staples in recent years.

Musk focused a bit on something that hasn’t been considered a strong point for Trump on the Right – reining in government spending.

“Inflation is caused by government overspending,” Musk said, then asked: “Would you agree that we need to take a look at government spending, and have perhaps a government efficiency commission that tries to make the spending sensible so that the country lives within its means, just like a person does.”

Trump responded that the government doesn’t routinely negotiate prices the way businesses do….

Musk pressed again, and this time volunteered his help.

“I think it would be great to just have a government efficiency commission that takes a look at these things and ensures taxpayers’ hard-earned money is spent in a good way,”

Musk said. “I’d be happy to help out on such a commission if it were formed.”

Trump replied, “I’d love it.”

“You, you’re the greatest cutter,” Trump said….

The Kamala Harris HQ responded in a post on X: “Trump praises billionaire Elon Musk for firing workers who were striking for better pray and working conditions.”

2. ‘Made Me More of a Believer.’

Musk began the conversation by asking Trump about the attempted assassination at a July 13 campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

A bullet grazed his right ear, the former president recalled, as he turned slightly to talk about an oversize chart showing illegal immigration numbers during the Trump-Pence administration years with the much higher numbers of the Biden-Harris administration.

“It was a bigger miracle that I was looking directly at the shooter, so [the bullet] hit me at an angle that was far less destructive than any other miracle,” Trump told Musk….

“For those people that don’t believe in God, I think we’ve all got to start thinking about that,” Trump said. “I’m a believer, but it’s made me more of a believer, I think. A lot of great people have said that to me, actually. It was amazing that I happened to be turned at that perfect angle.”

Musk, who endorsed Trump after the attempt to kill him, called him “courageous” Monday night for standing up and pumping his fist after being hit.

3. ‘Illegal Immigration Saved My Life.’

The two talked about the shooting at some length, dwelling on the large chart depicting unlawful border crossings that led Trump to tilt his head in a certain direction.

“Illegal immigration saved my life,” Trump said at one point, prompting laughter from Musk.

Trump regularly campaigns on restoring border security and keeping criminal gangs and drug traffickers from entering the country. The former president also has promised the “largest deportation effort” in history to send home illegal aliens admitted by the Biden-Harris administration….

“I saw an ad from Kamala talking about providing border security,” Trump said. “Where has she been for three and a half years?”

“We’re already overwhelmed, Elon. We’re overwhelmed,” the former president said at another point, speaking of illegal aliens admitted by the Biden-Harris administration.

4. ‘Dragged Him Behind the Barn.’

Later, Musk used the word “shot” in a figurative way in describing how Democrats forced Biden out of the 2024 race, using a metaphor for putting an injured farm animal out of its misery.

“This was a coup of the president of the United States,” Trump said of Biden, then referred to other top Democrats. “He didn’t want to leave and they said, ‘We can do this the nice way or do this hard way.’” …

“I’m not a fan of his, and he was a horrible president, the worst president in history,” Trump said, sounding a familiar theme.

5. ‘Defective Government’

Trump ridiculed the Biden-Harris administration as “defective.”

“We have a defective government. These are defective people,” the 45th president said.

Later, Trump said that in some ways, the U.S. government has become worse than its enemies.

“We have some really bad people in our government,” Trump said….

6. ‘Iron Dome’ for America

Trump said Biden’s comments have made the world less safe, including the president’s talk of Ukraine joining the NATO alliance even as Russia dug in with its invasion of the former Soviet republic….

“It was so bad the words he was using,” Trump said of Biden. “The stupid threats coming from his stupid face. It could lead to World War III.”

Musk asserted: “People underrate the risk of World War III,” and added, “It’s game over for humanity.” …

Trump brought up an “Iron Dome” for America, using the name of the antimissile system Israel developed as a shield to foil the rocket attacks of its enemies….

7. President’s ‘Vegetable Stage’

“Now Biden is close to vegetable stage, in my opinion,” Trump said bluntly at one point, perhaps alluding to those who argue that Harris should have succeeded Biden as president by now, rather than just replace him on the ballot….

Musk replied, “It’s clearly like we don’t have a president right now.”

Trump added of Harris and her record as vice president, senator, and California attorney general: “And she’s worse than him.”

Gitanjali Poonia, a staff writer for the Deseret News, discussed five highlights from the discussion between Trump and Musk. She indicated that Trump complimented Musk’s “fertile mind” during the end of the discussion. “You and I can talk about rockets, tunnels … and electric cars, so many things and now you’re into the (artificial intelligence), and that’s going to be another beauty.”

While listening to the conversation, I could see clearly that the two men were both quite intelligent. There are not too many people who could execute such a conversation. Poonia also indicated that “at least 1.1 million” people were listening at one point.

Like Lucas, Poonia also listed the assassination attempt as one of the items of discussion before she went forward with Trump’s thoughts about Musk’s Tesla cars. They were discussing the economy when “Trump said his solution would be to drill for more oil to bring down energy prices.” He then moved the discussion to electric cars that “don’t require too much gasoline” and that are “a great product.”

“But the gasoline, Elon, is the cost of energy, not only gasoline. It’s the cost of heating your house and cooling your house that has to come down,” Trump said.

He later noted, “Even to create your electric car and create the electricity needed for the electric car, fossil fuel is what really creates that at the generating plants. So you sort of can’t get away from it at this moment.” …

When the discussion moved to immigration, Musk suggested that people think about the migrant crisis as “Who do you want on your team? Who do you want on Team America?”

“I’d say, like, probably, most of the illegal immigrants, actually, are good, hard working people. That’s my opinion,” Musk said, adding, “But some are not.” Still, he argued, many are entering the country for the wrong reasons.

This prompted Trump to lay out his agenda. “We’re going to have the largest deportation in the history of this country, and we have no choice.” The former president also said he thinks the number of actual illegal migrant crossings is at least 20 million, much higher than the reported 12 million.

As NBC News reported, Trump categorized migrants as dangerous people 22 separate times. [With all the news stories about illegal migrants raping and killing Americans, we can definitely say that there is a certain number of them who are dangerous people.]

The conversation moved to another topic – the biggest threat to the U.S. Trump does not believe that global warming is the biggest threat to us.

“The ocean is going to rise one 1/8 of an inch over the next 400 years … and you’ll have more oceanfront property, right? … The biggest threat is nuclear warming because we have five countries now that have significant nuclear power.”

The last topic of discussion highlighted by Poonia was the discount that Trump negotiated on his Air Force One plane.

Musk said he believes inflation is a product of the government’s overspending, before asking Trump if “we need to take a look” at these spending levels and adjust them to more “sensible” levels.

Trump said he negotiated with Boeing on the price of a new Air Force One. At the time he took office, one of the first documents he was asked to sign was a contract with Boeing for a $5.7 billion plane.

[Trump, after entering the Oval Office, refused to sign the contract and eventually] “got the price reduced by $1.6 billion for the exact same plan, other than we had a nicer paint job,” Trump said….

While listening to the discussion, I gained insight into how Trump’s mind works to solve problems. While discussing electric cars, Trump suggested that the solution to the problem of power could come from putting solar panels on the roof and/or trunk of the cars. He is not into making electric cars, but he thought of a concept that I heard for the first time. Solar panels are not as heavy as electric batteries.

Will You Vote for a Convicted Felon or Lying Fraud?

The topic of discussion for this Constitution Monday concerns the 2024 presidential election contest between incumbent President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump. Ben Shapiro called the two men described the two contestants in the title of a recent article “Of ‘Convicted Felons’ and ‘Lying Frauds.’” I will allow you to decide which is which.

Shapiro reminded his readers that Trump was convicted on 34 felony counts by a jury in New York City due to the coordination between Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and Judge Juan Merchan. The conviction has to do with falsification of business records or maybe election fraud or possibly tax issue or something that no one knows for sure! In fact, Merchan instructed the jury that they did not have to agree on the crime in order for them to declare Trump guilty.

Shapiro declared that none of the details matter. Despite Trump’s conviction and possible jail time, he remains “either tied or within two points either way” with Biden. Most people question how a convicted felon can “be running even with the incumbent president?” Shapiro wrote that the answer is twofold and explained the two reasons as follows.

… First, Biden is a truly awful president; second, Biden has no ground to stand on in labeling Trump a threat to law and order.

First, Biden’s terrible record. Americans have been slammed by inflation for three years. Our social fabric has continued to decay as Biden openly seeks “equity” – meaning discriminatory legal regimens designed at rectifying group disparities – in every area of the federal government. On the foreign front, Biden has hamstrung Ukraine in its defense against Russia, and openly manipulated on behalf of Iran and Hamas in Israel’s war against the terror group that performed Oct. 7. It is difficult to see an area of the world that is markedly better off since Biden took the White House.

Second, Biden’s hypocrisy. In the aftermath of the Trump conviction, Trump naturally condemned the justice system that targeted him. Biden then responded by doubling down on his narrative that Trump’s pushback represents a threat to our democracy and our institutions: Last week, Biden staggered out to the podium to claim that “the American principle that no one is above the law was reaffirmed.” He added that it was “dangerous” and “irresponsible for anyone to say this was rigged just because they don’t like the verdict.”

The problem is this: Biden as defender of our democracy and our institutions just doesn’t play. This is the same president who tried to use his Occupational Safety and Health Administration to illegally cram down vaccines on 80 million Americans; who attempted, in defiance of law, to relieve student loan debt – and then bragged about defying the Supreme Court; whose Justice Department even let him off the hook for mishandling of classified material by calling him a dotard. Biden’s party has spent years tut-tutting massive riots, appeasing pro-terrorist student trespassers, and calling for an end to parental autonomy. There isn’t an institution in the country Biden hasn’t weakened.

To hear Biden rail against Trump for undermining institutions, then, simply won’t play. But Biden doesn’t have much left in the playbook.

All of which means that Trump still – still – has the upper hand. Ironically, Trump being sent to jail might actually help him, given that most Americans will correctly see the jailing of Biden’s chief political opponent as an act of vicious partisanship unworthy of the most powerful republic in world history.

Shapira concluded that things are different in 2024 than they were in 2020. Biden ran in 2020 “on the platform of stability and normalcy” but exploded both. He has nothing left except warnings about Trump. This may not be enough when voters make out their ballots “if gas prices are high, groceries cost too much, and the world remains aflame.”

Is America Heading Towards A Color Revolution?

An article in the Blaze Media claims that America is in serious trouble: “There are seven conditions that must be met for a color revolution to successfully topple a government, and it all must revolve around a national election.” America is heading into an important election, an election that will determine just what kind of a country America is.

Since this is such a central election, we should all understand exactly what a color revolution is and why they take place during national elections. Wikipediaa provided the following information.

The Colour revolutions (sometimes coloured revolutions) were a series of often non-violent protests and accompanying (attempted or successful) changes of government and society that took place in post-Soviet states (particularly Belarus, Georgia, Ukraine, and Kyrgyzstan) and the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia during the early 21st century. The aim of the colour revolutions was to establish Western-style liberal democracies. They were primarily triggered by election results widely viewed as falsified. The colour revolutions were marked by the usage of the internet as a method of communication, as well as a strong role of non-governmental organizations in the protests.

Some of these movements have been successful in their goal of removing the government, such as the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia’s Bulldozer Revolution (2000), Georgia’s Rose Revolution (2003), Ukraine’s Orange Revolution (2004) and Kyrgyzstan’s Tulip Revolution (2005). They have been described by political scientists Valerie Jan Bunce and Seva Gunitsky as a “wave of democracy” between the Revolutions of 1989 and the 2010-2012 Arab Spring.

Russia and China have accused the United States of orchestrating these revolutions to expand it influence.

According to Glenn Beck, America “currently meet(s) all seven conditions,” just in time for a national election. Here are Beck’s seven conditions for a color revolution:

The first condition is a “semi-autocratic regime.” “We’re not a fully autocratic regime, and that’s not what you need. You need a semi-autocratic regime,” Glenn explains.

The second condition is an “unpopular incumbent.” As Joe Biden’s disastrous polls reflect, we can definitely check that one off on the list.

The checklist goes on, with number three being a “united and organized opposition” and number four “an ability to quickly drive home the point that voting results were falsified,” which then begets number five: “media to inform people about the falsified vote.”

Number six is the “opposition capable of mobilizing thousands of demonstrators,” and last but not least, number seven is “divisions among the regime’s coercive forces,” which are military and police.

“They’ve got a fully united opposition; they’re prepared to drive home the point that the election was illegitimate. Hillary Clinton has been saying that just about every week since 2016,” Glenn says.

“Listen to the media; they’re already planting the seeds again,” he adds. “It’s never been more biased.”
