What Will Come From More Access to Abortion?

Families, communities, states, and nations are stronger when individuals value life from conception to natural death. Ten states had abortion on the ballots on Tuesday, voters in some of them voted to protect life while others voted to allow abortions.

South Dakota Pro-Lifers Score Win

South Dakotans struck down an abortion amendment that would have allowed abortion right up until birth for nearly any reason that a doctor thinks is a “health” risk to the mother.

Arizona’s amendment establishes a “fundamental right to abortion” and prohibits laws that deny, restrict, or interfere with abortions after fetal viability when the procedures are “necessary to protect the life or physical or mental health of the pregnant individual.”


The pro-abortion lobby reportedly outspent the pro-life side 26 to 1.


Montana Pro-Abortion Lobby Achieves Win

Montana voters approved a ballot question to enshrine limitless abortion in the state Constitution.


Pro-abortion advocates of the amendment outspent the pro-life side 86 to 1.


Montana currently allows late-term abortions if a woman’s life is in danger.


Missouri Approves ‘Fundamental Right’ to Abortion

Voters in Missouri approved a ballot measure to include a fundamental right to abortion in the Missouri Constitution.


Missouri’s ballot measure, titled “The Right to Reproductive Freedom Initiative,” enshrines the right to abortion in state law. The measure allows the state Legislature to pass laws regulating abortion after fetal viability, but also prohibits lawmakers from restricting abortions “needed to protect the life or physical or mental health of the pregnant person.” …


The pro-abortion side reportedly spent 103 times more than the pro-life side.

One of the Ten Commandments condemns murder – deliberately taking the life of another person. Voters in South Dakota, Nebraska, Florida, and possibly Missouri voted to protect the lives of innocent, unborn babies. By doing so, they may have extended God’s protection to all people in the United States.

America fought a Civil War – a war of four years that took more than 600,000 American lives – over the sin of slavery. Other civilizations have been destroyed when they became too wicked. I fear the price that all Americans will be forced to pay because of abortion.

Why Do Democrats Fail to See that Abortion Is Wrong?

June 24, 2023, marks one year since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned its 1973 Roe v. Wade decision with its decision in Dobbs v. Jackson’s Women’s Health Organization. This decision sent the question about abortion back to the states where it belongs. There is absolutely nothing in the U.S. Constitution that protects killing unborn babies, and the current Justices recognized the fact that Roe v. Wade was wrong when it passed.

A new poll conducted for Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America claims that “a majority of Americans support protections for unborn children and their mothers.” Since Roe v. Wade was overturned, “24 states have enacted pro-life protections for the unborn and their mothers,” according to a pro-life organization.” 

Wyoming extended Medicaid to cover mothers through the first year after her child is born. Mississippi’s governor signed off on foster care and adoption reforms. North Carolina established $160 million for child care, parental leave and community college assistance. Other Republican-led states increased support for pregnancy resource centers that offer goods and services free of charge to expectant mothers, such as ultrasounds, medical exams, counseling, housing and baby clothing.

In the poll of 1,000 likely voters nationwide, 73% of people polled said that there should be “some limits on abortion by 15 weeks of pregnancy, the point at which the baby can feel pain.” The poll found the following:

·         Nearly 6 in 10 voters support Congress passing legislation to enact limits on abortion after 15 weeks.

·         76% of those polled support pregnancy resource centers that provide financial and material support for mothers during pregnancy but don’t perform abortions. That number included 87% of Republicans, 68% of Democrats, 70% of independents, 76% of men, and 77% of women.

·         70% of respondents agree minors should be required to notify parents when seeking an abortion.

Americans are deeply divided on the abortion issue. This division shows in the 24 states that have enacted legislation to protect the unborn and their mothers in in 23 states where “minors can receive an abortion without informing their parents in 23 states.” In addition, there are activist groups, such as Jane’s Due Process, that counsels “girls on how to get an abortion behind their parents backs” and “violating state laws.”

Planned Parenthood remains “a major proponent of highly contentious abortion practices” and is lobbying in states like Alaska and Idaho against laws to protect unborn babies and women. Support for abortions comes from the top with Democrats in both White House and Congress committed to support abortions up until the time of birth with federal funding.

Do You Support the Right to Life for All People?

Families, communities, and nations are stronger when every life has value, including the unborn. The 50th annual March for Life was held today in Washington, D.C., the first one since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June 2022. Roe v. Wade became the law of the land in 1973. The decision spurred the pro-life activist to March for Life.

Even though Roe v. Wade was overturned, unborn babies are still in danger, and right-to-life activists are fighting for them. Last week, the House of Representatives passed a bill to save the lives of babies born in botched abortions. All the Republicans voted for the bill, but only one Democrat joined them.

The House also passed a resolution that condemned the attacks on pro-life groups and churches since the leak of the draft of the decision in early May in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case. It was the decision in the Dobbs case that overturned Roe. Even though 78 pro-life groups and 108 churches have been attacked in the months since early May, all the Democrats in the House voted against the resolution except for three of them.

The Democrat votes in the House show that Democrats do not care about unborn babies or the activists who seek to protect them. Thus, the fight for the right for unborn babies continues even though Roe was overturned.

Will America Ever End Abortion on Demand?

            Families, communities, and nations are stronger when babies and children are protected. So many babies have been aborted worldwide that the populations of most nations have fallen below the replacement level.

            The U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization several months ago, and they will soon issue their ruling. Their ruling could overturn some or all of Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey. If the justices rule in favor of Dobbs, the question of abortion will be returned to the states.

The Democrats are so hungry for power that they tried to codify abortion into law despite the fact that the majority of Americans are not in favor of such a law. The good thing is that the most recent abortion bill failed to pass in the Senate. Nicole Russell beliefs that the real story is not that the “abortion bill failed, but the fact that it was crafted at all.” 

This particular abortion bill is so expansive, so ghoulish, it’s truly shameful that Democrats even tried to codify such provisions in law. It demonstrates just what they would do, if given enough power. It also directly contradicts the majority of Americans’ views on abortion.


The Senate failed to invoke cloture and proceed to a vote Feb. 28 on the House-passed version of the Women’s Health Protection Act, HR 3755.


This stunningly progressive legislation is “a radical proposal to mandate unfettered abortion access in federal law,” warned Melanie Israel, policy analyst at The Heritage Foundation’s DeVos Center for Religion and Civil Society….


Although the abortion bill failed, it’s important to see why Democrats crafted such legislation and what the measure would have done if enacted into law.

            The Democrats know that Roe and Casey could be overturned, so they crafted another law to revive them. Thomas Jipping claims that the Women’s Health Protection Act was “far more radical than even Roe v. Wade itself.” Russell shared some of key provisions of the bill.

Crafted on a faulty promise, the legislation repeatedly mentions the “constitutional right to terminate a pregnancy.” [This claim has been debunked by “many” justices.]


One of the worst aspects of the Democrats’ bill is its sweeping scope, including its claim that Congress’ power to regulate interstate commerce gives it authority to control state and local abortion legislation.


The legislation would have repealed all existing state laws that specify abortion restrictions or protect the unborn in some way, endangering laws that ban late-term abortions. Never mind that 71% of Americans say they favor more abortion restrictions, even those who aren’t ardently pro-life.


The bill also would have prohibited future laws regulating abortions and the abortion industry. This is especially gut-wrenching, because as technology has improved and our understanding of the human body has grown, abortion laws have reflected such progress.


If passed, this measure would have had the effect of wiping out those advancements and decades of consensus among politicians on both sides of the aisle, who slowly have begun to recognize the personhood of the unborn.

            The Women’s Health Protection Act would have prohibited laws to protect the unborn. This would include protecting them from genetic testing. The law would also end protection for survivors of abortion. The law would have also stopped laws that would require women be given time and information to make informed decisions about abortion. In addition, it would prevent “laws that would prevent taxpayer dollars from subsidizing the abortion industry.” The Democrat bill would have ended most of the abortion regulations at the state level. In the words of Jipping, “The bill, in fact, tries mightily to erase, avoid, or deny any suggestion, hint, or whisper that a second human being exists at all.”

            Science has made many advances since Roe and Casey were made the law of the land. However, Democrats do not want these scientific advances to curtail their power in any way. Nevertheless, the American people are “slowly but steadily” becoming more pro-life because they understand what science is telling us. We know better now than we ever did before that every abortion takes the life of an unborn human being.

March for Life

            Families, communities, and nations are strengthened when individuals, born and unborn, have the right to life. The introduction to the Declaration of Independence states: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

            The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 1973 case of Roe vs. Wade that abortion – the murdering of unborn babies - was legal in every state. Right-to-Life activists held its first March for Life in 1974. The 45th annual March for Life was held today – two days before the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade - at the National Mall and attracted thousands of anti-abortion activists in a movement to save the lives of unborn babies.

            Today President Donald Trump became the first U.S. president to address the activists via video conference as he did so from the White House Rose Garden. However, other Republican presidents have addressed the anti-abortion demonstrators by telephone. Here are some of the President’s remarks. 

As you all know, Roe vs. Wade has resulted in some of the most permissive abortion laws anywhere in the world… It is wrong. It has to change. Americans are more and more pro-life. You see that all the time.

            In his remarks President Donald Trump discussed a bill that would ban late-term abortions. The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act in October 2017 by a vote of 237-189. This “bill includes exceptions for rape, incest, or to save the life of the pregnant woman.” Today President Trump called on the U.S. Senate to vote on the bill. 

I strongly supported the House of Representatives’ pain-capable bill, which would end painful late-term abortions nationwide, and I call upon the Senate to pass this important law and send it to my desk for signing. [He added that the] United States is one of only seven countries to allow elective late-term abortions, along with China, North Korea, and others. [The seven nations are Canada, China, Netherlands, North Korea, Singapore, Vietnam, and the United States. The U.S. could choose a better group!]

            I am a Right to Life supporter because I believe that all human beings have the right to life from the moment of conception until the Lord takes them home. The right to life itself is a direct blessing from Heavenly Father. He alone has the authority to choose who lives and who dies, and no government can usurp that authority. The right to life is one of the reasons that our forefathers fought for independence from Great Britain, and the loss of it is enslaving us now.

            I urge the U.S. Senate to pass the painful late-term abortion bill, and I urge all Americans to join the Right to Life movement in an effort to overturn Roe vs. Wade. This law is an evil one that arose from a desire to limit the number of African Americans born. It has destroyed millions of lives and should be overturned. We can strengthen our families, communities, and nations by bringing the right to life to all people, both the born and unborn.

Right to Life

            The topic of discussion for this Constitution Monday is the right to life for all human beings, including the unborn. We know that life starts at the moment of conception because there are immediate signs of growth as the egg divides and then continues to divide and grow bigger in preparation for birth. The newborn child continues to grow and develop until it reaches its full growth in the later teens or early adulthood. This is what life is all about, and life is protected by the Constitution of the United States.

            Most Americans are familiar with the way that the Constitution starts. The first paragraph is known as Preamble, and it is a summary of what the Constitution is and does.

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common Defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

            Richie Angel shares some interesting thoughts in his post titled “The Constitutional Rights of the Unborn.”  He states that “The supreme law of the land is the Constitution, and our Founding Fathers provide incontrovertible insight as to their understanding of the unalienable right to life.” He points to the above quoted phrase from the Preamble as proof of their comprehension and then continues with more comments and quotes.

As Glenn Beck notes, “[w]ho are our posterity, if not our unborn children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren?” To deny the Constitution’s application to future generations is to erroneously deduce that the Founders intended their labor to last only a few years. Every constitutional provision that secures a human right was designed just as much for the protection of the rights of the unborn as for the rights of the born.

            Angel offers much information about the thinking of the Founders. I particularly appreciate his explanation about James Wilson. This Founding Father was one of only “six men to sign both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.” He was also one of the Justices on the first Supreme Court. He “lectured on constitutional law with Washington, Adams, and Jefferson in attendance – ostensibly endorsing his interpretations. As such, scholars typically concede that `Wilson, when speaking on the law, might be said to be speaking for the Founders generally.’”

            According to Angel, Wilson gave a lecture titled “Of the Natural Rights of Individuals.” Wilson gives much information about when life begins in the womb according to quotes from Bouvier’s Law Dictionary and Concise Encyclopedia (originally published in 1839). Most people claim that life begins when “quickening” takes place, but “There is significant debate about when quickening occurs, with many citing Bouvier’s estimation of `usually about the sixteenth week from conception.’” Quickening is the time when the mother first feels “the child” (as Bouvier calls the fetus) moving in her womb. However, common sense tells us that the child is a human child and is probably moving long before the mother feels it. Bouvier continues, “The child is, in truth, alive from the first moment of conception.”

            Angel gives much information about the Founding Fathers and their concept of life beginning at conception. He concludes his post with these words.

The Founders undoubtedly crafted their revolutionary texts so as to secure the blessings of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for the unborn.
So which constitutional rights do our future children enjoy? All of them. Read any quote from the Founding Fathers about your right to life, property, conscience, association, religious freedom, privacy, labor, and more, and smile knowing that your posterity has been endowed with the same rights by the same Creator. He is the one who gives life to the unborn, and we are not to take it away.
