I started writing this blog on
this date in 2009. I grew concerned as I watched Barack Obama move swiftly
ahead on his agenda to “fundamentally transform” the United States into a
socialist country. I studied and learned about the U.S. Constitution and how
the Founders of this nation set up the government. I learned about the
separation of powers between the three branches – executive, legislative, and judicial
– and between the federal government and the state governments. I recognized
that Obama was doing things that he should not be doing.
I was truly concerned about the
future of the United States, and I was worried about what I would tell my
grandchildren when they asked, “What were you doing when the United States was
being destroyed?” I was prompted many times by the Holy Ghost to start a blog
to share my newfound knowledge, but I procrastinated for several months.
Eventually, I realized that I could put it off no longer, and I began. I thought
that my children would be interested enough in what their mother was doing to
occasionally read my blog and share it with their own children. I had no idea
that people in more than 150 nations would read my writings.
I thought that I could make a
difference by sharing the truth and, hopefully, keep Obama from a second term.
That hope was dashed to pieces when he won his second election. I assumed that
he would further destroy the United States, so I changed my tactics to helping
people prepare for the oncoming chaos and ruin.
I rejoiced when enough American
voters saw the track that Obama put us on and voted against more of the same by
electing Donald Trump. I voted against Hillary Clinton, but I was not yet a “supporter”
for Donald Trump. I was more like, “I will give you a chance. Don’t mess it up!”
I am still withholding judgement,
but I generally like what I am seeing.
As far as I can tell, President
Trump has done well in his efforts to turn the United States from the edge of
the cliff. He has tried for nearly eight months to right the wrongs of the
Obama administration. He has cancelled many of the executive actions signed by
Obama and many of the regulations of the Obama administration that stifled
economic growth. He has, however, had a continual fight with leftists and
progressives in both parties.
As I start my ninth year of writing
this blog, I again have hope for our nation. There are still evil people who
are trying to destroy the government and throw away the Constitution, but we now
have a man in the White House who is fighting for America rather than against.
Gradually the secret combinations are being exposed and brought to justice. My
prayer is that the power of these groups will be destroyed before they can
complete their evil work. My plea is still, may God bless the USA!
