I normally
reserve Tuesday’s for VIPs, but I do not have anyone of whom I wish to
write. The United States are deep into a
presidential election, including all the negative talk. I do not believe this is not a normal
election season. In 2012 Americans had
the opportunity to elect Mitt Romney as our president, but we – not I
personally but Americans in general – chose to elect Barack Obama. Our nation has since gone downhill quickly.
We now have an opportunity to
elect a President who can and will right the ship of state; however, Americans
seem to be gravitating to politicians who do not have the desire or the ability
to do so. We have a self-declared
socialist, a former Secretary of State who is a treasonous liar, and
Republicans that rank from liberal to conservative. As far as I am concerned, there is only one
candidate who has the knowledge and ability to right our nation.
I am far from the only one who
thinks we are at turning point, a crossroads.
John W. Whitehead wrote an interesting article about our times.
“America is at a crossroads.
History may show that from this point forward, we will have left behind
any semblance of constitutional government and entered into a militaristic
state where all citizens are suspects and security trumps freedom.
“Certainly, this is a time when
government officials operate off their own inscrutable, self-serving playbook
with little in the way of checks and balances, while American citizens are
subjected to all manner of indignities and violations with little hope of
defending themselves.”
