What Message Did Biden Send with His Handshake?

Last week President Joe Biden met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in China. A picture embedded in an article written by Terence Jeffrey and published in The Daily Signal shows Biden shaking hands with Wang.

The interesting thing about the photo is that it appeared on the web site of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for China – not any of the American media’s web sites. Another interesting thing about the article is a statement by Biden, asking Wang Yi “to extend his greetings to President Xi Jinping and expounded on the position that the U.S. values its relations with China.” A third interesting fact from the article is that Wang met with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and national security adviser Jake Sullivan.

My attention was immediately drawn to Jeffrey’s article by its title “Biden Sends Wrong Message on Genocide With a Handshake.” My reason: secret words and handshakes are ways that members of secret combinations communicate with each other. It is no secret for my regular readers that I believe that Joe Biden is a compromised POTUS. I believe that he has sold America out to our enemies – Russia, China, Ukraine, Iran, and who knows who else. Therefore, I am wondering if the handshake with Wang a secret message to members of the secret combinations working together to bring down America.

Secret combinations are groups of people, who use any means necessary to get power and gain and who support each other in their wickedness. If supported by the people, secret combinations can result in the destruction of entire nations. The Book of Mormon – Another Testament of Jesus Christ tells of the destruction of two great civilizations who were overcome by secret combinations. An ancient American prophet wrote the following words to warn our generation.

18 And it came to pass that they formed a secret combination, even as they of old; which combination is most abominable and wicked above all, in the sight of God.

19 For the Lord worketh not in secret combinations, neither doth he will that man should shed blood, but in all things hath forbidden it, from the beginning of man.

20 And now I, Moroni, do not write the manner of their oaths and combinations, for it hath been made known unto me that they are had among all people, and they are had among the Lamanites.

21 And they have caused the destruction of this people of whom I am now speaking [Jaredites], and also the destruction of the people of Nephi [Nephites].

22 And whatsoever nation shall uphold such secret combinations, to get power and gain, until they shall spread over the nation, behold, they shall be destroyed; for the Lord will not suffer that the blood of his saints, which shall be shed by them, shall always cry unto him from the ground for vengeance upon them and yet he avenge them not.

23 Wherefore, O ye Gentiles [that is us], it is wisdom in God that these things should be shown unto you, that thereby ye may repent of your sins, and suffer not that these murderous combinations shall get above you, which are built up to get power and gain – and the work, yea, even the work of destruction come upon you, yea, even the sword of the justice of the Eternal God shall fall upon you, to your overthrow and destruction if ye shall suffer these things to be.

24 Wherefore, the Lord commandeth you, when ye shall see these things come among you that ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation, because of this secret combination which shall be among you; or wo be unto it, because of the blood of them who have been slain; for they cry from the dust for vengeance upon it, and also upon those who built it up.

25 For it cometh to pass that whoso buildeth it up seeketh to overthrow the freedom of all lands, nations, and countries; and it bringeth to pass the destruction of all people, for it is built up by the devil… (Ether 8:18-25).

 

7 And they hearkened not unto the voice of the Lord, because of their wicked combinations; wherefore, there began to be wars and contentions in all the land, and also many famines and pestilences, insomuch that there was a great destruction, such an one as never had been known upon the face of the earth…

22 And they did reject all the words of the prophets, because of their secret society and wicked abominations.

(Ether 11:7, 22).

 

25 And thus we see that the Lord did visit them in the fulness of his wrath, and their wickedness and abominations had prepared a way for their everlasting destruction. (Ether 14:25).

Here are the words of a modern-day prophet, then-Elder Ezra Taft Benson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

But the greatest handbook for freedom in this fight against evil is the Book of Mormon.

This leads me to the second great civic standard for the Saints. For in addition to our inspired Constitution, we have the scriptures.

Joseph Smith said that the Book of Mormon was the “keystone of our religion” and the “most correct” book on earth. (DHC, vol. 6, p. 56). This most correct book on earth states that the downfall of two great American civilizations came as a result of secret conspiracies whose desire was to overthrow the freedom of the people. “And they have caused the destruction of this people of whom I am now speaking,” says Moroni, “and also the destruction of the people of Nephi.” (Ether 8:21.)

Now undoubtedly Moroni could have pointed out many factors that led to the destruction of the people, but notice how he singled out the secret combinations, just as the Church today could point out many threats to peace, prosperity, and the spread of God’s work, but it has singled out the greatest threat as the godless conspiracy. There is no conspiracy theory in the Book of Mormon – it is a conspiracy fact.

Then Moroni speaks to us in this day and says, “Wherefore, the Lord commandeth you, when ye shall see these things come among you that ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation, because of this secret combination which shall be among you.” (Ether 8:14.)

The Book of Mormon further warns that “whatsoever nation shall uphold such secret combinations, to get power and gain, until they shall spread over the nation, behold they shall be destroyed….” (Ether 8:22.)

This scripture should alert us to what is ahead unless we repent, because there is no question but that as people of the free world, we are increasingly upholding many of the evils of the adversary today. By court edict goddess conspirators can run for government office, teach in our schools, hold office in labor unions, work in our defense lants, serve in our merchant marines, etc. As a nation, we are helping to underwrite many evil revolutionaries in our country.

Now we are assured that the Church will remain on the earth until the Lord comes again – but at what price? The Saints in the early days were assured that Zion would be established in Jackson County, but look at what their unfaithfulness cost them in bloodshed and delay.

President Clark warned us that “we stand in danger of losing our liberties, and that once lost, only blood will bring them back; and once lost, we of this church will, in order to keep the Church going forward, have more sacrifices to make and more persecutions to endure than we have yet known….” (CR, April 1944, p. 116.) And he stated that if the conspiracy “comes here it will probably come in its full vigor and there will be a lot of vacant places among those who guide and direct, not only this government, but also this Church of ours.” (CR, April 1952.) (“Civic Standards for the Faithful Saints,” Ensign, July 1972, pp. 60-66).

Now you can either count these words as a conspiracy and say I am crazy to think that Biden is corrupted, or you can believe the words of these prophets and prepare yourself and your family to stand on the Lord’s side.

 

Why Is the Georgia Indictment So Dangerous?

 A 41-count, 98-page indictment charging former President Donald Trump and 18 alleged co-conspirators was presented by Fulton County, Georgia, District Attorney Fani Wallis at 10:30 p.m. Georgia time on Monday night. The indictment was all over the news yesterday and today. The indictment has been described by many different words, but Ben Shapiro described the indictment as a missile fired “directly into the heart of American politics.” 

According to the indictment, the criminal act committed by Trump and his alleged co-conspirators was to “knowingly and willfully [joining] a conspiracy to unlawfully change the outcome of the election in favor of Trump.” Shapiro explained that the crime is based on whether Trump knew that he had lost the election. According to Shapiro, “all the accusations about him fall away” IF Trump truly believed that he had won the election.

Shapiro said that there is a major problem with the fact that Willis charged RICO. By doing so, “Willis extends the case to people who may have admitted that Trump lost the election.” Such an action has two purposes:

First, it puts these alleged co-conspirators in serious legal jeopardy, giving them reason to flip on Trump himself.

Second, it may allow Willis to charge Trump as part of a criminal conspiracy even if he personally believed he won the election – after all, case law suggests that co-conspirators can be charged under RICO even if they didn’t agree on every aspect of the conspiracy, so long as they knew the “general nature of the enterprise.”

Shapiro also indicated that the Georgia case is particularly dangerous for Trump because it is a state case. “The Manhattan case against Trump rooted in campaign finance allegations is incredibly weak and is an obvious stretch; the Florida and D.C. cases against Trump are federal, which means that if elected president, he could theoretically pardon himself.” Because the Georgia case is state-based, Trump would be imprisoned in a state prison and unable to pardon himself.

Besides the danger of being imprisoned, Trump’s presidential campaign will be handicapped because he will be tied up in the various court cases and unable to campaign as he would normally do.

What’s more, every waking moment for the media will be coverage of those court cases. That will make it impossible for Trump – even if he were so inclined, which he has shown no evidence of being – to talk about President Joe Biden rather than his legal peril. And there has yet to be a single piece of data suggesting that Americans are driven to vote for Trump because of his legal troubles.

To pardon yourself, you have to be elected president. But spending your entire presidential race in the dock makes that a radically uphill battle.

All of this is quite terrible for the country. No matter what you think of Trump’s various legal imbroglios – from mishandling classified documents to paying off porn stars to calling up the Georgia secretary of state in an attempt to “find” votes – the glass has now been broken over and over and over again: Political opponents can be targeted by legal enemies. It will not be unbroken.

If you think that only Democratic district attorneys will play this game, you have another thing coming. Prepare for a future in which running for office carries the legal risk of going to jail – on all sides. Which means that only the worst and the most shameless will run for office.

The secret combinations who want to control America and Americans will try to destroy anyone who tries to expose them and destroy their power. Right now, they are fighting Donald Trump. If Trump gives up or goes down, they will go fight Ron DeSantis or anyone else who threatens their power.

America is lost if Republicans do not fight back and win this battle and go on to win the war. The milk-toast type of Republicans, such as Mitch McConnell or Mitt Romney, who try to get along with the Leftists are knowingly or unknowingly abetting the secret combinations.

Americans must realize that the problem is so huge that it will not be solved in one presidential election. Communists have been trying to take over America for more than fifty years, and they have infiltrated all the institutions of America. America fell into this condition over many generations, and America will not be saved in a short period of time. It will take an entire generation to root out the corruption in the government and to destroy the power of the secret combinations. Do you love America enough to join the fight?

How Do We End the Deep State?

The liberty principle for this Freedom Friday is the fact that a faction known as the Deep State is controlling the government of the United States. Most of my long-term readers understand that I believe that the Deep State would be known as a secret combination(s) if we were living in Book of Mormon times.

Secret combinations were responsible for the total destruction of two ancient American civilizations – the Nephites and the Jaredites. Moroni wrote counsel for the people of the latter-days about the danger of secret combinations. In Ether 8:18-25, Moroni explained that the Jaredites “formed a secret combination” (v. 18) and that the Lord does not work in secret combinations (v. 19). He said that secret combinations “are had among all people” (v. 20).

21 And they have caused the destruction of this people of whom I am now speaking, and also the destruction of the people of Nephi.

Moroni said that secret combinations are among all people and that we should not let them get control of our nation. Tyler O’Neil wrote that the next conservative president would have the great task to take down the Deep State. A group of conservatives are planning for that time in a project known as 2025 Presidential Transition Project, also known as Project 2025, and laying the groundwork for the task. 

O’Neil wrote that every new president goes through a transition. There are many people working for the federal government who support big government policies, so liberal presidents have many people helping to move their agenda forward. “President Trump faced stiff headwinds from a hostile federal bureaucracy he often referred to as “the deep state.”

While liberal presidents have many helpers, “Most good conservative presidents don’t really get it all figured out until the end of their second term,” said Rick Dearborn, former deputy chief of staff to President Donald Trump, in an interview with The Daily Signal. Dearborn gave four pillars of Project 2025 – “which does not just represent The Heritage Foundation alone but ‘the entire conservative movement.’”

Pillar 1: Mandate for Leadership

The book, “Mandate for Leadership: The Conservative Promise,” represents the first pillar of the strategy, Dearborn explained. The book, to which more than 450 authors contributed, runs nearly 900 pages long, with in-depth explanations and recommendations for various aspects of the federal government, from the White House Office to the Department of Health and Human Services to the Intelligence Community, and so much more….

This in-depth treatment of the administrative state, peppered with major policy changes such as splitting the Centers for Disease Control into two separate agencies, represents merely one of the four pillars, however.

Pillar 2: People Are Policy

Project 2025 isn’t just publishing a book – it’s also compiling a list, and checking it far more than twice.

“I think it all starts with the people,” Dearborn said. “Conservatives have never had a large number collected in one spot of conservative scholars and academics and policy experts that you could just pull off the shelf and say, ‘Okay, if you’re going to populate the Department of Defense, here are the five people that really understand the conservative philosophy on how to promote and protect our national security.’”

Project 2025 does not just intend to compile a list of strong potential appointees; it also aims to train these people for the jobs they would take under a conservative president, Dearborn explained….

If the good conservatives who might fill the key political positions don’t know what they need to know, Project 2025 will step in and equip them.

Pillar 4: Executive Orders

Project 2025 is also compiling an appendix to equip a future conservative president on policy. “When you write an executive order, when you’re working on a regulation, if you want to roll back a regulation, if you want to promote a program, if you want to work with outside government-affiliated groups, how does this work?” Dearborn asked. The appendix aims to answer these questions and give “some game plans that they can use so that they’re not having to build them from scratch from day one.”

Dearborn said he wishes that the Trump transition team had a book like “Mandate for Leadership” in 2016.

He noted that Project 2025 will be meeting “with all of the different current announced conservative presidential candidates” and some who “may not have yet announced, providing them a book, and walking through what the different pillars are.”

A Call to Action

The former deputy chief urged conservatives to join Project 2025 in a concrete way….

There is a secret combination, or a combination of secret combinations, working within the government that will eventually destroy the government of the United States unless their power is destroyed. Project 2025 is one way that conservatives are preparing to destroy the Deep State and bring America back to compliance with the Constitution. If they are successful, they will save the Constitution and the American way of life. If unsuccessful, America will continue to slide further down the slippery slope to destruction. What choice do we have?

What Warning Did Moroni Give to People Living in Latter-day America?

             My Come, Follow Me studies for this week took me to Ether 6-11. As you may know, Ether 1-5 tell about Jared and his brother who lived at the time of the Tower of Babel. They, their families, their friends, and their friends’ families were blessed and did not have their language confounded. The Lord led them to the seashore and instructed them how to build barges to carry them to a land that “is choice above all the lands of the earth” (Ether 1:42). They arrived in the Americas 344 days after they set off in their barges, “commending themselves unto the Lord their God” (Ether 6:4).

This group and their descendants are known as the Jaredites and lived in the Americas for approximately 1500 years. They were destroyed off the face of the earth because of wickedness, just as the Nephites were destroyed by wickedness. The Nephites discovered the ruins of the Jaredites hundreds of years after their destruction. Among the ruins, the Nephites found a mysterious record kept on “gold plates” and “filled with engravings” (Mosiah 8:9). The record was taken to King Limhi who sensed that this record was important: “Doubtless a great mystery is contained within these plates” (Mosiah 8:19). King Limhi could not translate the record, but he kept it secure.

When King Limhi and his people joined the people of King Mosiah, King Limhi gave the record to King Mosiah. Sometime before receiving the record, King Mosiah received the instruments prepared to translate the record – the Urim and Thummin, and he translated the record. Mormon was an ancient American prophet, and he compiled the Nephite records that became the Book of Mormon – Another Testament of Jesus Christ. Mormon commented, “it is expedient that all people should know the things which are written in this account” (Mosiah 28:19). It was Mormon’s son, Moroni, who added his summary of the record kept by Ether to the record kept by Mormon.

After telling of the Jaredites’ journey to the promised land, Moroni summarized the reigns of numerous generations of kings. While doing so, he contrasted the time periods where the Jaredites were righteous to those times of wickedness and conflict. He recognized that there were many similarities between the Jaredites and the Nephites. Moroni described the pride cycle that he saw in both the Jaredites and Nephites – prosperity, pride, wickedness, difficulties, humility, blessings, righteous, and back to prosperity. Then he wrote to the inhabitants of America in the latter-days and outlined the grave dangers that we would be in if we allowed pride and secret combinations to gain control of our society.

Moroni wrote his words of warning to us: “it is wisdom in God that these things should be shown unto you” (Ether 8:23). He wanted us to learn from the failures and the successes of the Jaredites, so that “evil may be done away, and … the time may come that Satan may have no power upon the hearts of the children of men” (Ether 8:26).

The Book of Mormon – Another Testament of Jesus Christ was translated by the Prophet Joseph Smith and presented to the world in 1830. Since that time, missionaries have traveled the world teaching the truths of the Book of Mormon and inviting all mankind to come unto Jesus Christ. In recent years, members have joined the missionaries in “flooding the earth” with the Book of Mormon.

The Book of Mormon has been translated in its entirety into at least 97 languages with parts of the book translated into at least 20 more languages. As of October 2020, approximately 192 million copies of part or all the Book of Mormon have been published by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Since there are something like 7 billion people living on the earth, there are many people who have not read Moroni’s warning.

            Then-Elder Benson gave his warning in 1972, nearly 50 years ago. Like the Nephites, Americans have beaten back the godless conspiracy on numerous occasions. However, supporters of the conspiracy are now in our governments at all levels. Something happened in the November 2020 presidential election that has Republicans claiming election fraud – enough to overthrow the election. Could this be our last chance to beat back the godless conspiracy. If secret combination(s) caused the problems with this election and get away with fraud, they will come back at the next election even stronger. All of us should be praying that any fraud is discovered, and the perpetrators brought to justice. This is no time to be lukewarm. You are either part of the problem, or you are part of the solution. We should pray as if our lives depended on the resolution of this problem because they may.

Deep State Coup

            The topic of discussion for this Constitution Monday concerns the Deep State coup attempt against President Donald Trump. It appears that there are numerous people, inside and outside of the Department of Justice, who are part of this secret combination. However, it seems that the more they attempt to smear Trump, the more they expose themselves.

            Doug Ross lists “10 Key Insights from Today’s Deep State Coup News” in his journal entry. His insights are as follow:

(10) Lisa Page [is] a cooperating witness against the Deep State. (9) Andrew McCabe freaked out about reports of his conflict of interest with respect to the Hillary Clinton email investigation. (8) Andrew McCabe is a sleaze-bag and “actually ripped other DOJ officials for the leaks that he had orchestrated. (7) Why hasn’t McCabe been indicted? He lied to the FBI – the same crime that Michael Flynn and Martha Stewart were charged with. (6) The priorities of the FBI are out of control. (5) J. Edgar Comey told President Trump about the Russian dossier but failed to inform him that the Hillary Clinton campaign and the DNC paid for it. (4) J. Edgar Comey, Part II: Comey claims in his book that law enforcement’s job is “to keep our leaders in check” – a fact not taught in Civics class. (3) Obama vs. Trump on Executive Privilege: Fast and Furious with its hundreds dead vs. Michael Cohen and Stormy Daniels. (2) Edgar Comey, Part III: Comey compares Trump to a “mob boss” but says nothing about the Clinton syndicate. (1) Is the whole thing with Cohen tied to his lawsuit against Fusion GPS?

            You may or may not agree with Ross’s insights. However, he is not the only one wondering why McCabe has not been indicted. Hans von Spakovsky at The Daily Signal is wondering if the Justice Department will treat McCabe the same way others have been treated.

The new report from the Justice Department inspector general concludes that McCabe, the former FBI deputy director, lied to then-FBI Director James Comey, to other FBI agents, and to officials of the Office of the Inspector General. Some of those lies came when McCabe was under oath.

What did he lie about? Unauthorized disclosures about the FBI’s investigation into the Clinton Foundation. The information was leaked to a reporter for The Wall Street Journal.

The inspector general has completed his work. The question now is, will the Justice Department prosecute McCabe? Or, put another way: Will the FBI and the Justice Department follow the same rules they apply to members of the public who lie to a federal agent?

            This secret combination known as Deep State must be exposed, and their power must be destroyed. They are attempting to impeach Trump or to limit his ability to overcome the destruction of past administrations. If they are not exposed and destroyed, they could overthrow our constitutional way of government.

FBI's Secret Society

            Americans have good reason to wonder what in the world is happening at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The agency’s reputation for fair and honest investigation is being destroyed because numerous political scandals are engulfing it, and all the scandals seem to include two rogue agents, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.

            Strzok and Page are lovers. They are involved in numerous scandals including the Clinton email server investigation and the Donald Trump “Russian collusion” investigation. They are also avowed Trump-haters. Strzok and Page communicated by email, and some 50,000 of their emails have been turned over to the House investigation. One or more of these emails discussed setting up a “secret society.” Recently, investigator discovered that emails between the two are missing for a period of about five months – the time period between December 2016 and May 2017 – a period of time when much was happening in the Trump administration. We should be wondering what was in those emails that needed to stay hidden. Hopefully, they can be recovered and read.

            William F. Marshall compares the downfall of the FBI to the sinking of the USS Titanic in his article titled “The Sinking of the FBI.” He says that “the FBI is taking on water at an accelerating rate” and later makes the following statement.

The keel of the USS Federal Bureau of Investigation is starting to rise out of the water, like the RMS Titanic about 30 minutes after striking the iceberg. One can almost hear the bodies of top law enforcement bureaucrats crashing against each other, like so much china on a dying vessel sinking under the waves, as the embattled organization faces exposure after exposure of truly outrageous and un-American, if not illegal, conduct…

The tragic reality is that this apotheosis of American law enforcement, this symbol of truth, justice, and the American way, has become so corrupt, so politicized, and so diametrically opposed to its mission because of its recent actions that nothing short of its reconstitution is required – much as the KGB was reconstituted following the collapse of the Soviet Union…

            Williams claims that a coup d’état or “a sudden decisive exercise of force in politics” has taken place. He describes the actions as “far more insidious than the sort of coups we typically see in Africa and Latin America” because it “required the subversion and corruption of numerous governmental agencies, not just the FBI – to effect: the Department of Justice and the National Security Agency to be sure, and possibly the Central Intelligence Agency, the State Department, and other agencies as well.” He says that “what we are seeing should frighten all Americans” and that the “sinking of the FBI may be the least of our worries.”

            I have been writing for several years about the secret societies and secret combinations in our government. I had no idea where they were or how big they had become. I just knew that they were there. How did I know? I knew it because prophets have foretold it for years. Any serious reader of the Book of Mormon – Another Testament of Jesus Christ knows about secret combination and the destruction they cause.

            In fact, the book describes how secret combinations caused the total destruction of two great societies in ancient America - the Jaredites and the Nephites. It also warns its readers that secret combinations will be in all nations in the latter-days and that they will destroy any nation that allows them to operate. Moroni, the last prophet in the Book of Mormon, wrote this warning in Ether 8:19-25.

19 For the Lord worketh not in secret combinations…

20 And now I, Moroni, do not write the manner of their oaths and combinations, for it hath been made known unto me that they are had among all people…

21 And they have caused the destruction of this people of whom I am now speaking [Jaredites], and also the destruction of the people of Nephi [Nephites].

22 And whatsoever nation shall uphold such secret combinations, to get power and gain, until they shall spread over the nation, behold, they shall be destroyed…

23 Wherefore, O ye Gentiles [this means us], it is wisdom in God that these things should be shown unto you, that thereby ye may repent of your sins and suffer not that these murderous combinations shall get above you, which are built up to get power and gain – and the work, yea, even the work of destruction come upon you…

24 Wherefore, the Lord commandeth you, when ye shall see these things come among you that ye shall awake to a sense of our awful situation, because of this secret combination which shall be among you…

25 For it cometh to pass that whoso buildeth it up seeketh to overthrow the freedom of all lands, nations, and countries…

            So, the Book of Mormon warns us that secret combinations will be among us and Marshall tells that they are here. By the way, Marshall is described as “an intelligence analyst and investigator in the government, the private sector, and the non-profit sector for over 30 years” and now working as “a senior investigator for Judicial Watch.” What can ordinary Americans do to destroy their power before they destroy the government?

            There are several actions that ordinary people can take. First, we must join in prayer to ask our Heavenly Father to help us to root out the secret combinations and to destroy their power. This is the easiest as well as the best thing that we can do.

            Second, we must hold our elected representatives accountable to protect and preserve the Constitution. When we recognize that our elected officials have become corrupted, we must be willing to vote them out of office. We would be wise to install term limits for Senators and Representatives.

            Third, we must support the people and organizations that are doing the work of exposing the secret combinations. Some of these people are Representatives Trey Gowdy and John Ratcliffe, two patriotic representatives who are both former federal prosecutors who know and understand the law and who are not afraid to expose corruption. Judicial Watch is an organization that exposes corruption. If the government does not give them information by request, they are not afraid to take the government to court to get the information. Judicial Watch has exposed numerous cases of corruption, including the Clinton email server scandal.

            There is no doubt in my mind that secret combinations are working to destroy the American way of life. If the federal agencies involved with keeping law and order have become corrupted, we must awake to the dangers that we face and do all that we can do to destroy those who are trying to destroy our government.           

Secret Combinations

            Our topic of discussion for this Constitution Monday concerns secret combinations and the destruction they can cause in just societies. We will read the words of ancient prophets and consider the words of a modern Christian. We will conclude by comparing ancient America with our day and see that we face similar situations.

            Let’s start the conversation by defining the term secret combination. Google defines secret as both an adjective. As an adjective, it is defined as follows: “not known or seen or not meant to be known or seen by others: `how did you guess I had a secret plan?’” Synonyms are confidential, top secret, classified, undisclosed, unknown, private, or under wraps. As a noun secret is defined as “something that is kept or meant to be kept unknown or unseen by others.” Example: “a state secret.” Synonyms are confidential matter, confidence, or private affair.

            Google defines combination as a noun with two meanings. The first definition is “a joining or merging of different parts or qualities in which the component elements are individually distinct.” An example is: “a combination of blackberries, raspberries, and rhubarb.” Synonyms are amalgamation, amalgam, merger, merging, blend, mixture, mix fusion, marriage, coalition, integration, incorporation, synthesis, composite, or informal combo. Another example is “a combination of ancient and modern.” The second definition has to do with a combination lock and not applicable to this discussion.

            So, using the definitions of secret and combination and/or their synonyms, we can come up with the following definition of secret combination: an undisclosed or unknown coalition or incorporation.

            The term secret combination is well-known to any student of the Book of Mormon – Another Testament of Jesus Christ. Secret combinations are credited with the destruction of both the Jaredite nation and the Nephite nation in ancient America. Moroni, the last prophet to write in the Book of Mormon, wrote: “And they [secret combinations] have caused the destruction of this people of whom I am now speaking [Jaredites], and also the destruction of the people of Nephi” (Ether 8:21). 

            The Book of Mormon also warns about secret combinations being found in all nations in the latter days. While discussing our time period, the prophet Nephi wrote:

20 And the Gentiles [meaning us] are lifted up in the pride of their eyes, and have stumbled ….

22 And there are also secret combinations, even as in time of old, according to the combinations of the devil, for he is the founder of all these things; yea, the founder of murder, and works of darkness; yea, and he leadeth them by the neck with a flaxen cord, until he bindeth them with his strong cords forever (2 Nephi 26:20, 22). 

            Nephi was not the only prophet to warn of secret combinations in our day. Moroni gave the following warning:

20 And now I, Moroni, do not write the manner of their oaths and combinations, for it hath been made known unto me that they are had among all people….

22 And whatsoever nation shall uphold such secret combinations, to get power and gain, until they shall spread over the nation, behold, they shall be destroyed; for the Lord will not suffer that the blood of his saints, which shall be shed by them, shall always cry unto him from the ground for vengeance upon them and yet he avenge them not.

23 Wherefore, O ye Gentiles [speaking to us], it is wisdom in God that these things should be shown unto you, that thereby ye may repent of your sins, and suffer not that these murderous combinations shall get above you, which are built up to get power and gain – and the work, yea, even the work of destruction come upon you, yea, even the sword of the justice of the Eternal God shall fall upon you, to your overthrow and destruction if ye shall suffer these things to be.

24 Wherefore, the Lord commandeth you, when ye shall see these things come among you that ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation, because of this secret combination which shall be among you; … (Ether 8:20, 22-24). 

            We have defined secret combination, discussed the destruction of the Nephite and Jaredite nations because of secret combinations, and read the warning of ancient prophets for the people of our day. With the above knowledge, I am sure that you can understand why I felt apprehension when I read a recent article. The article is attributed to Charles Krauthammer, but Snopes says that it was actually written by Christian journalist Bill Wilson. It does not actually matter who wrote the article. What matters is whether or not it is true! If it is true, then the United States of America – and the world – is in deep, deep trouble. The first two paragraphs of Wilson’s article follows.

If you had an army some 30,000 strong and a court system stacked over the decades with judges who would allow you to break the laws, how much damage could you do to a country? We are about to find out in America. The ex-“president” said he was going to stay involved through community organizing and speak out on the issues, and that appears to be one post-administration promise he intends to keep. He has moved many of his administration’s top dogs over to an organization called Organizing for Action (OFA). OFA is behind the strategic and tactical implementation of the Marxist resistance we are seeing across America, and politically active courts are providing the leverage for this revolution.

OFA is dedicated to organizing communities for progressive change, meaning Marxist revolution. Issues are gun control, socialist healthcare, abortion, sexual equality, climate change, and of course, immigration reform. OFA members were propped up by the ex-“president’s” message from the shadows: “Organizing is the building block of everything great we’ve accomplished. Organizers around the country are fighting for change in their communities – and OFA is one of the groups on the front lines … Commit to this work in 2016 and beyond.” OFA’s website says it obtained its "digital” assets from the ex-“president’s” re-election effort and that he inspired the movement. In short, it’s the shadow government organization aimed at resisting and tearing down the Constitutional Republic, picking up where Communist Party America leaves off.

            Riots and other unrest have taken place on a regular schedule since Hillary Clinton lost the presidential election. Liberal media, legislators, lawyers, and judges have thrown up road blocks to every turn that President Donald Trump has taken. You name it, and you will know that liberals have opposed it: tax reform, illegal immigration, court orders stopping Trump from limiting immigration from certain countries, etc. At the same time, they have the “Russian probe” taking place in attempt to remove Trump from office.

            The secret combinations in the Book of Mormon killed their “chief judges” [like our President]. They murdered the prophets who came among them calling them to repentance. They caused great destruction in their communities. They actually destroyed the government of the land, and they were the cause of the total destruction of their civilizations. The article by Wilson and the writings of the prophets in the Book of Mormon sound too similar to disregard. America, we have been warned!

Freedom from Gangs

            The liberty principle for this Freedom Friday concerns need to free the United States from gangs of criminals. These gangs are some of the secret combinations that weaken and destroy nations. President Donald Trump vowed to rid the nation of the gang known as MS-13, a violent international gang.

            Josh Siegel  posted an article at The Daily Signal about the gangs in the United States. He references the Trump administration’s efforts to “eradicate the [MS-13] gang by cracking down on illegal immigration. He quotes U.S. Attorney General Jeff Session’s statement to local law enforcement.

The MS-13 motto is kill, rape, and control…. Our motto is justice for victims and consequences for criminals. That’s how simple it is. Prosecute them, and after they’ve been convicted, if they’re not here lawfully, they’re going to be deported.

            Siegel says that “law enforcement experts who study MS-13 – and have been working to help combat it – welcomed President Donald Trump’s tough approach to the gang, but cautioned that the federal government should not lose sight of other violent gangs with footprints in the U.S.” He quotes FBI statistics as saying that “there are about 33,000 active gangs in the U.S., with about 1.4 million members.” He also quotes experts as saying that “immigration enforcement is only one element of a strategy that the U.S. has waged for decades against MS-13.” He reminds his readers that MS-13 has both illegal and legal members.

            Siegel includes some facts about MS-13. The gang is the result of “thousands of people” fleeing civil war in El Salvador in the 1980s. They immigrated to the United States and settled in Los Angeles. The real name of the gang is “Mara Salvatrucha,” but it is known as MS-13. A research report says that the first members were “former guerillas and El Salvadoran government soldiers with combat experience. Those initial members helped the gang develop a reputation of using unusual methods of violence –most prominently, its choice of machetes as a murder weapon.”

            Siegel includes other facts about MS-13 as follow: (1) 30,000 members worldwide with 10,000 members in the United States. (2) Members of the gang are in 40 states, including Maryland, New York, and Virginia, plus Washington, D.C. (3) Members are also found in El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala. (4) Their crimes are mainly extortion but also include street-level drug trafficking, theft, robbery, and murder-for-hire. (5) Distinctive signs include tattoos, graffiti, hand signs, and slang.

            Apparently, this gang was formed by the immigrants of El Salvador as protection from Mexican gangs and African-American gangs. It gained members and power in El Salvador in the mid-1990s when the United States increased the deportation of gang members and El Salvador was not equipped to deal with “the return of their troubled nationals.” The gang in the United States grew when those formerly deported gang members returned to the United States. In addition, young people from El Salvador enter the United States illegally and join the gang.

            Building a wall along the southern border of the United States will stop most of the illegals entering the nation, but a barrier will not solve all the problems with gangs. The United States has embedded agents in Central America to help local police deal with the threat from MS-13. The problems with gangs in those countries are even greater than in the United States. This means that the eradication of MS-13 and other gangs will require a multi-prong approach.

Freedom from Collusion

            The liberty principle for this Freedom Friday concerns the collusion that is rampant in our world today. Collusion means secret or illegal cooperation to deceive or cheat other people. Its synonyms are conspiracy, connivance, complicity, intrigue, plotting, collaboration, and scheming. My term for groups that practice collusion is “secret combinations.”

            Boyd C. Matheson is the president of Sutherland Institute, “a conservative think tank that advocates for a free market economy, civil society and community-driven solutions. He recently posted an article titled “Collusion, not conflict, is bankrupting the nation.” He reminds his readers that Americans complain loudly about the “conflict” in Congress between Democrats and Republicans, conservatives and liberals. He says that all the conflict makes good news stories, but it is not “the real problem in Washington.

Collusion is the silent but lethal force that has crippled the economy and strapped the nation with debilitating debt, and it ensures that power stays within the Beltway elite instead of with the American people.

You simply cannot get $20 trillion in debt through conflict. It is absolutely impossible. The only way to get $20 trillion in debt is through collusion.

            Collusion takes place when one Senator agrees to sponsor or support the bill of another Senator but requires a favor in return. One form of collusion was earmarks. The earmarks are no longer a part of the legislative procedures, but there are other forms of collusion. If you do not believe that collusion takes place, please answer this question: How do the politicians become so rich while in office? Almost every politician leaves government careers much richer than when they started “serving” in office.

            Matheson claims that state and local governments, as well as the American people, join the collusion by accepting “more and more money from the federal government, with all the strings that go with it.” American citizens do not seem to care about the price as long as they receive the services. Matheson says,

Amazingly few Americans acknowledge or even recognize the economic cost of such collusive spending today or the total societal price of that debt their grandchildren will pay tomorrow.

Over the past 40 years our national debt has skyrocketed from $1 trillion in the mid-1970s to $20 trillion and counting today. If the interest rate, which has been near historic lows, were to tick up just slightly toward historic norms, the annual interest payment on America’s debt would rapidly reach nearly $1 trillion. That is just the interest. No tax increase or spending cut would even come close to closing that gap. Such collusion-induced debt and rising interest payment would decimate the poor and the middle class in America.

            I do not understand the willingness of politicians to bring so much debt to our nation, and I do not understand why Americans continue to elect the politicians who vote for more debt. Matheson quoted the following statement from J. Reuben Clark, Jr. who was a member of the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Interest never sleeps nor sickens nor dies; it never goes to the hospital; it works on Sundays and holidays; it never takes a vacation; … it has no love, no sympathy; it is as hard and soulless as a granite cliff. Once in debt, interest is your companion every minute of the day and night; you cannot shun it or slip away from it; you cannot dismiss it; it yields neither to entreaties, demands, or orders; and whenever you get in its way or cross its course or fail to meet its demands, it crushes you.

            Americans must understand that the conflict in Congress is not as bad as the collusion taking place there. The collusion is bringing ever increasing debt, not only to Americans living today but to our grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We must destroy the power of the secret combinations among us before they destroy us.
