Does Voter Fraud Exist?

The topic of discussion for this Constitution Monday concerns voter fraud. According to Fred Lucas at The Daily Signal, last week a grand jury in a small Texas county indicted six people, including local officials. The six people “were charged in an alleged vote harvesting scheme in Frio County, Texas, according to the office of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. Texas is not the only state that has “cracked down on ballot harvesting, which is when political operatives distribute and collect large quantities of absentee ballots.”

Frio County Judge Rochelle Camacho, a Democrat and the county’s top official, was charged with three counts of vote harvesting, according to the attorney general’s office.

Pearsall City Council members Ramiro Trevino and Racheal Garza were both charged with one count of vote harvesting. Pearsall Independent School District Trustee Adriann Ramirez was charged with three counts of vote harvesting, according to the attorney general’s office.

Two others charged were not public officials. Former Frio County Elections Administrator Carlos Segura was charged with one count of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, according to the state attorney general’s office. Frio County resident Rosa Rodriguez was charged with two counts of vote harvesting.

All are presumed innocent.

Paxton, a Republican, said his office has worked with Texas 81st Judicial District Attorney Audrey Louis, also a Republican, in the investigation.

“The people of Texas deserve fair and honest elections, not backroom deals and political insiders rigging the system,” said Paxton, who is challenging incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in a 2026 GOP primary.

“Elected officials who think they can cheat to stay in power will be held accountable. No one is above the law,” Paxton continued in a public statement. “My office will continue to work with Frio County District Attorney Audrey Louis to protect the integrity of our elections.” …

Last August, the attorney general’s office executed multiple search warrants in Texas counties Frio, Atascosa, and Bexar as part of a multiyear election integrity investigation into what Paxton said were credible allegations of vote harvesting….

What Has Been Done to Protect Election Integrity?

The topic of discussion for this Constitution Monday concerns election integrity and moves made by the Trump administration Justice Department to combat voter fraud. Fred Lucas at The Heritage Foundation summarized “four big election integrity developments across the country just in the past seven days.”

1. Russian Collusion?

An Uzbekistan national pleaded guilty to conspiring with a Russian national to submit more than 100 fraudulent voter registration forms.

United States Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe for the Middle District of Florida announced the guilty plea on Tuesday.

Sanjar Jamilov, 32, a citizen of Uzbekistan living in St. Petersburg, Florida, faces a maximum of five years in federal prison.

The plea agreement asserts that Dmitry Shushlebin, 45, a Russian living in Miami, hired Jamilov, among others, to submit more than 100 fraudulent voter registration applications to the Pinellas County supervisor of elections in February and March 2023, according to the Justice Department. Shushlebin pleaded not guilty….

2. Ukrainian Voting

Last Halloween, two Ukrainian nationals allegedly cast early votes in the general election in Palm Beach, Florida.

The two women, Svitlana Demydenko, 53, and her daughter, Yelyzaveta Demydenko, 22, made their initial appearances in West Palm Beach federal court on Tuesday, according to the Justice Department, and were charged with unlawful voting. U.S. Attorney Hayden O’Byrne for the Southern District of Florida is overseeing the case….

The mother and daughter came to the United States in April 2021 on nonimmigrant visas. In August 2024, while living in Florida, they registered to vote in federal elections, according to the Justice Department.

Then, on Oct. 31, the Justice Department said the two voted….

The mother told law enforcement they were unaware that they couldn’t lawfully vote… [and] voted to make a difference.

Both have only been arrested and are presumed innocent.

3. Iraqi Voting

The Justice Department also charged an Iraqi national for allegedly casting an illegal vote in the 2020 election.

The DOJ credited the Department of Government Efficiency with assisting in the investigation.

Iraqi national Akeel Abdul Jamiel, 45, formerly of South Glens Falls, New York, was charged on Friday with illegally voting.

Jamiel said he is innocent and has not been in the United States for years. If convicted, the charges carry a maximum one year in prison and a fine of up to $100,000, according to the Justice Department….

4. New Jersey Task Force

New Jersey is one of only two states with a governor’s race this year.

U.S. Attorney Alina Habba for the District of New Jersey announced Tuesday the creation of the Election Integrity Task Force that consists of a team of federal prosecutors working with the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, and other federal agencies to implement the directives of Trump’s executive order on election integrity.

The task force’s objectives will include facilitating information-sharing among federal, state, and local officials to help election officials remove from New Jersey voter lists individuals who are not eligible to vote. It will also focus on enforcing federal laws that prohibit voter registration fraud, casting of fraudulent ballots, and voting by noncitizens.

In March, interim District of Columbia U.S. Attorney Ed Martin also established a special unit to investigate election offenses.

Does Voter Fraud Exist?

Donald Trump and other people were indicted a few weeks ago for questioning the 2020 presidential election. Yet, examples of voter fraud continue to appear. This time it is voter registration fraud. Fred Lucas shared in his article in The Daily Signal several examples of how such voter registration fraud happens.

Lucas first reported on voter fraud charges that were handed down to ten people in Tennessee last week. Their crime: they allegedly registered to vote when they were not legally eligible to do so. The ten residents of Clarksville, Tennessee who were indicted by a grand jury had past felony convictions, making them ineligible to vote in the state. Despite not being eligible to vote, they voted anyway, according to the prosecutors. Lucas explained the law as follows.

As explained in my book “The Myth of Voter Suppression,” federal law requires states to “conduct a general program that makes a reasonable effort to remove” from the official voter rolls “the names of ineligible voters.” This could include convicted felons who lost their voting rights as well as those who died or changed residences.

Lucas then shared an adapted excerpt from his book that “looks at six notable and … comical examples of voter registration scandals” that prove voter fraud does exist.

1. 25,000 Ineligible Voters in California

In 2018, the California state government admitted – after it was sued – that it mistakenly registered about 25,000 ineligible voters….

Then-Secretary of State Alex Padilla said “persistent errors” like these would “undermine public confidence.”

2. Big Apple Sting

In 2013, the New York City Department of Investigations called for the New York City Board of Elections to clean up its voter rolls after a sting operation of sorts.

The 63 city investigators went to the polls signing in with the names of dead people or people who had moved out of the city, or signing in as convicted felons no longer eligible to vote.

Of those, 61 were cleared to vote. However, no illegal votes were cast.

3. Running in Maryland While Voting in Florida?

In Maryland, Wendy Rosen won the Democratic 1st Congressional District primary by defeating John LaFerla by 57 votes to win the right to challenge Republican Congressman Andy Harris in 2012.

However, she was forced to drop out two months before the November election when some Democrats pointed out that she had voted in both Florida and Maryland in 2006 and 2010.

She had duplicate registrations and double voted. She was fined $5,000 and sentenced to 500 hours of community service.

4. ACORN Scandal

In a 2008 case, Seattle workers with the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now, or ACORN, submitted 1,762 fraudulent voter registration forms.

ACORN leader Clifton Mitchell was convicted of false registration and served about three months in jail. Four other ACORN colleagues got jail time as well. Washington state also fined ACORN $25,000 to cover the cost of the investigation.

Then-Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed said, “This is the worst case of voter registration fraud in the history of the state of Washington.”

5. Lone Star Voting Troubles

In 2021, police reported catching Zul Mirza Mohamed – a candidate for mayor of Carrollton, Texas – in the act of stuffing envelopes with Dallas County absentee ballot applications. But his activities allegedly ran even deeper. Investigators determined the candidate forged at least 84 voter registration forms. The Texas Attorney General’s Office charged him with 84 counts of mail ballot fraud.

6. Living in a UPS Store?

In 2021, former Republican Congressman Steve Watkins of Kansas cut a deal to avoid going to trial over voter fraud, saying that he would remain law abiding and pay a $250 fine.

Watkins was charged in 2020 for listing a UPS Store as his voting address and then voting in the wrong Topeka City Council race.

Prosecutors also charged him with interfering with law enforcement and for lying to Shawnee County detectives.

Lucas six examples of voter registration fraud that had been charged and prosecuted – plus the charges in Tennessee. This is proof that voter fraud exists – and Joe Biden continues to prove that that he is an idiot who could not have gotten more legal votes than Barack Obama, the historical first Black president.

Can Elections Be Overturned for Voter Fraud?

The topic of discussion for this Constitution Monday is voter fraud. Donald Trump and his supporters are in deep trouble because they claimed there was fraud in the 2020 presidential election. No one believed them then, and no one believes them now. However, evidence of election fraud continues to come out.

Eva Terry at the Deseret News reported recently that voter fraud was confirmed in a Connecticut mayoral election, enough to convince a judge to toss the results and order a new vote.

Leading up to the Sept. 12 primary election, 420 people cast 1,255 absentee ballots at four drop boxes, the Deseret News reported. Under Connecticut Law, absentee votes must be delivered either by relatives and caregivers or sent by mail, but surveillance footage shows a woman on Ganim’s campaign staff, allegedly Wanda Geter-Pataky, stuffing a ballot box with white envelopes.

Connecticut Superior Court Judge William Clark wrote in the Nov. 1 court ruling, “The volume of ballots so mishandled is such that it calls the result of the primary election into serious doubt and leaves the court unable to determine the legitimate result of the primary.

“The videos are shocking to the court and should be shocking to all the parties,” he added.

Clark wrote, “To disregard the significant mishandling of ballots by partisans that were caught on video flouting the provisions of Connecticut law … endorse(s) this blatant practice of ballot harvesting.

How Much Voter Fraud Took Place in the 2020 Presidential Election?

There are many questions about the 2020 presidential election. Some people believe that Joe Biden is an illegitimate president and that Democrats stole the election. Other people allege that there was election fraud without claiming that the election was stolen. Bit by bit information about election fraud is being found and exposed.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson recently interviewed a former judge who is investigating election fraud in Wisconsin. The judge expressed his shock at the amount of fraud that he found. Carlson used the word “horrifying” when he responded to a report put out by the Wisconsin Assembly’s Office of Special Counsel about alleged voter fraud in the 2020 general election.

While interviewing special counsel and former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman, Carlson noted that Americans are not allowed to claim that there was voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election. “The fact is there was, and the deeper you dig, the more of it you find.”

[The report] highlighted that in the 66 nursing homes it has vetted thus far in Milwaukee, Racine and Dane counties, 100 percent of the registered voters cast ballots, despite many of the residents having been declared incompetent to vote due to mental incapacity.

Ninety-seven percent of the registered voters in nine nursing homes in Kenosha County and 95 percent of those in 16 nursing homes in Brown County voted as well.

The report only reflects “voting at the nursing homes that the OSC has been able to vet to this juncture.”

According to a new study, at least 255,000 excess votes cast across six battleground states were found in an examination of individual voting precincts. Economist John Lott authored the peer-reviewed study of precincts in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

The study, set to be published in the academic journal Public Choice, compares precincts where there were allegations of voter fraud to similar precincts in neighboring counties that had no fraud allegations. In each comparison, the two precincts examined fall on opposite sides of a county line – in some cases across the street.

Precincts are county-level election subdivisions, usually with fewer than 1,000 voters. Precincts in counties with fraud allegations had significantly higher voter participation than adjacent precincts in counties without alleged fraud, the study found.

“Precincts are generally small, homogeneous areas, and when two areas are adjacent and similar to each other, why would one precinct have far many more votes? Lott asked The Daily Signal in an interview. “If you have a get-out-the-vote campaign, you care about winning the state, [and are] not focused on the precinct.” …

Biden beat then-President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, by a total of 313,253 votes in the six states.

Even though the “study doesn’t question the legitimacy of the outcome of the 2020 election,” the “analysis indicates that concerns about voter fraud are legitimate and undermine confidence in elections.”

Lott has powerful credentials. He has held teaching positions at the University of Chicago, Yale University, the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Stanford University, and Rice University. He is a former senior adviser for research and statistics at the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Policy, where he dealt with issues of voter fraud and other matters. According to an analysis by the Free University of Brussels, he has been among the most-cited economists in the world.

The Election Fraud Database at The Heritage Foundation has documented 1,349 adjudicated cases of voter fraud since 1982. These are cases where people were indicted and convicted of voter fraud.

The three sources cited above show that voter fraud does take place. This means that the voting laws in individual states should be examined and made as tough as possible while not restricting legal voting.

What Happens If the Wrong Family Is Living in the White House?

The topic of discussion for this Constitution Monday is a question: What happens if the wrong person was inaugurated as the President of the United States on January 20, 2021? The question about the integrity of the 2020 presidential election continues to grow louder and stronger, and the reasons to doubt the results strengthen.

As I have said before, there were strange doings across the nation on Election Night 2020. Election fraud is nothing new and most likely takes place in every election. However, the amount of documented fraud that took place in 2020 surpasses that of any other year.

Jeff Lukens posted an article that collected the evidence of fraud from several different directions. He mentioned the full forensic audit taking place in Maricopa County, Arizona, which is nearing completion. Democrats are panicky about the audit and have tried several different ways to stop it. The latest attempt to stop it was made by U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland who addressed the right to vote last Friday.

Garland called voting “a fundamental element to our democracy” while testifying before Congress. “We know that expanding the ability of all eligible citizens to vote is the central pillar.” He claimed that it is the “duty” of his agency to protect the voting rights of all Americans. He said that the Department of Justice will continue to “protect the democracy to which all Americans are entitled.”

So far this year at least 14 states have passed new laws that make it harder to vote…. Some jurisdictions, based on disinformation, have utilized abnormal post-election audit methodologies that may put the integrity of the voting process at risk and undermine public confidence in our democracy.

It sounds like Garland will attempt to shut down all audits, but he may have a difficult time with the one in Arizona. The Arizona Senate already went to court about the audit several times and are operating under the approval of the court.

Lukens next mentioned a report published by Peter Navarro that claims to have evidence of “widespread fraud, ballot-stuffing, and other election irregularities” in the presidential election. The apparent goal of liberals and progressives was to flood the election with illegal votes. Molly Ball confirmed the strategy in her TIME Magazine article.

Trump said on Dec. 2. “Within days after the election, we witnessed an orchestrated effort to anoint the winner, even while many key states were still being counted.”

In a way, Trump was right.

There was a conspiracy unfolding behind the scenes, one that both curtailed the protests and coordinated the resistance from CEOs. Both surprises were the result of an informal alliance between left-wing activists and business titans. The pact was formalized in a terse, little-noticed joint statement of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and AFL-CIO published on Election Day. Both sides would come to see it as a sort of implicit bargain – inspired by the summer’s massive, sometimes destructive racial-justice protests – in which the forces of labor came together with the forces of capital to keep the peace and oppose Trump’s assault on democracy.

The handshake between business and labor was just one component of a vast, cross-partisan campaign to protect the election – an extraordinary shadow effort dedicated not to winning the vote but to ensuring it would be free and fair, credible and uncorrupted. For more than a year, a loosely organized coalition of operatives scrambled to shore up America’s institutions as they came under simultaneous attack from a remorseless pandemic and an autocratically inclined President. Though much of this activity took place on the left, it was separate from the Biden campaign and cross ideological lines, with crucial contributions by nonpartisan and conservative actors. The scenario the shadow campaigners were desperate to stop was not a Trump victory. It was an election so calamitous that no result could be discerned at all, a failure of the central act of democratic self-governance that has been a hallmark of America since its founding.

The above statements are almost ludicrous, and the “loosely organized coalition of operatives” working in the shadows of the campaign sound a whole lot like secret combinations. Ball’s words sound like she is fulfilling scripture where she calls black white, and white black, evil good and good evil. Her article continues by explaining how the secretive work was accomplished.

Their work touched every aspect of the election. They got states to change voting systems and laws and helped secure hundreds of millions in public and private funding. They fended off voter-suppression lawsuits, recruited armies of poll workers and got millions of people to vote by mail for the first time. They successfully pressured social media companies to take a harder line against disinformation and used data-driven strategies to fight viral smears….

What the secretive correlation accomplished is shown is the following chart published by Peter Navarro. The small print says that the checkmarks indicate “Wide-Spread Evidence,” while the asterisks indicate “Some Evidence.”

Lukens’s article continued by stating some facts. (1) “Trump received millions more votes in 2020 than in 2016, and Republicans swept most congressional and down-ballot offices.”

(2) “Trump won bellwether Ohio, which no winning president has failed to carry in that state's history, by a more considerable margin than he did in 2016.  Pennsylvania was trending the same on Election Night until they mysteriously stopped counting votes late in the evening.” (3) Republican poll watchers were denied access in several cities, including Philadelphia. (4) “Similar fraudulent actions occurred in Maricopa County, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Detroit, and Milwaukee.

Lukens then addressed the cyber-fraud, which is being exposed by Mike Lindell, the owner of MyPillow. Numerous stores have refused to sell his products, and he was forced to create a new social media site that Big Tech cannot de-platform. However, he continues his quest to expose election fraud. Lukens wrote:

Lindell estimates that close to 3,000 cyber-attacks occurred from around the world on Nov. 3-4. He has identified 20 attacks alone where Trump votes were flipped for Biden votes and were enough to change the election outcome. Notice the timestamp, source, and target I.P. address, and the number of Trump votes flipped to Biden. This evidence demonstrates irrefutable foreign interference in our election. The evidence is hard proof that cannot be changed or altered or explained away.

There are some court cases that have been filed. At least one was filed by Lindell, which he claims that he will win with a 9-0 decision by the Supreme Court. The information compiled by Lindell, which I am assuming is factual, is actually scary. Lindell claimed that these are only 20 of the known attacks, and there are many additional ones.

Lukens concluded, “Both Navarro’s ground fraud and Lindell’s cyber-fraud were enough to swing the election independently. Together, there is overwhelming evidence that the election was stolen.” Be sure to check Lukens’ article because the charts may not be allowed on my blog.

When Will We See the Evidence or Know the Results?

Today marks two weeks since Election Day, and no one knows for sure who won the 2020 presidential election. Numerous states are having difficulties in certifying their votes because of “irregularities.”  Even though Americans are accustomed to knowing on election night who the next president will be, the 2020 election has proven to be worse than 2000.

In the 2000 presidential election, Americans did not know the results of the election for 37 days. The results in that contest went to the Florida Supreme Court twice and to the U.S. Supreme Court twice before an announcement was made.

So, what do we know? We know that two counties in Georgia have found votes for Donald Trump that were not previously counted but not enough to overcome the difference of approximately 13,000 votes. Will other counties also find votes? Will enough counties find votes to put the entire state in question? Your guess is as good as mine!

We know that Clark County in Nevada – home to Las Vegas – is having problems. The County commissioners decline to certify the results of the race for county commissioner. Apparently, this race will have a new election because there was such a “large scale voter discrepancy.” However, those discrepancies do not seem to have affected the presidential election.

There are several common questions about the presidential election. Why did the vote count stop simultaneously in all the key states at the same time on election night? Where did hundreds of thousands of votes come from for Biden -- and none for Donald Trump – when the counting started again? Why is it possible for more than forty states – even big states like California, New York, Texas, and Florida -- to get a correct vote count on election night, but states with Democrat governors in key states are struggling to do so two weeks later?

There are also questions about the investigation. Sidney Powell, attorney for General Michael Flynn, is working on the voter fraud case. She claims that she has “staggering” statistical evidence and testimony that proves Dominion voting machines switched votes from Trump to Biden. Powerhouse attorney Lin Wood is based in Atlanta, Georgia and has filed a court case against Georgia election official. He claims that Powell and Rudy Giuliani have “the smoking guns” that will prove Donald Trump won the election.

The obvious question about the investigation is, when will we see the evidence? A secondary question is, when will we see people going to prison for the fraud? The Electoral College is scheduled to meet on December 14. Will we know the results before that date?

What Is Happening in This Election?

The topic of discussion for this Constitution Monday is the chaos known as the 2020 presidential election. In an ordinary presidential election, Americans would cast their votes either by mail or in person, the votes would be counted, and Americans would have a good idea as to who won the election by midnight. This did not happen in 2020!

Just like the rest of the year, the 2020 presidential election took some unwanted, possibly illegal, hops. Some states sent ballots to every registered voter in their records. It did not matter if the voter had moved out of state, moved to a different address, or died. A ballot was sent to them without any accountability.

On election night, President Donald Trump was well on his way to winning re-election by large margins when several key states stopped counting ballots. They just stopped for several hours! This has never happened previously in any election of which I am aware. When the states started to count ballots again, Joe Biden was suddenly thousands and hundreds of thousands of votes in the lead.

It is difficult to know what to believe because there are so many versions out on the internet, but this is the version I heard last. Top attorneys for Trump claim that evidence of voter fraud is coming into their offices faster than they can take the information down. They also claim to have evidence enough to send people to prison. A computer, owned by a company in Spain but located in Frankfurt, Germany, was confiscated by an elite Army team sent from the United States. This computer held all the information from the election. There are claims that evidence shows hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of votes being transferred from Trump to Biden. The computer is also evidence of tampering in a U.S. election by foreign nations.

This information appears to be supported by known results. There was no “blue wave” as forecast by pollsters. We know that it did not happen because the election is so close. We know that Republicans flipped three blue state legislatures to red. The last count I heard is that Republicans flipped twelve seats in the House of Representatives from blue to red. Republicans still hold control of the Senate.

Approximately 72,000,000 votes were cast for Donald Trump, the highest number that has ever been cast for an incumbent president or a Republican candidate. Higher percentages of black and Hispanic voters cast their votes for Trump than in any previous year. With all this happening, how did feeble-bodied, senile-minded, basement-dwelling Biden receive more votes than Barack Obama in his glory days? Things just do not add up to a Biden win.

There are investigations taking place in about six states. Investigators have until mid-December to discover what happened. However, this much we know because it is outlined in the Constitution: If the states cannot certify their vote totals, they cannot seat Electoral College electors. If the Electoral College cannot vote -- or if the Supreme Court rules the election null and void because of voter fraud – the election of the next President will be determined by the House of Representatives. This will all be determined by how the Justices on the Supreme Court view the evidence that is presented.

If the election goes to the House of Representatives, each state will have one vote. Twenty-six of the fifty states are Republican-controlled with twenty-four being Democrat-controlled. It is likely that the House of Representatives will re-elect Donald Trump in this case. Meanwhile, Americans are asked to stay calm and be patient.

Which Is More Likely to Affect the Election, Voter Fraud or Foreign Influence?

Both Republicans and Democrats realize that the 2020 presidential election is a battle for the soul of the nation. However, their description of “the soul of the nation” is quite different. Republicans are fighting to keep the nation the America that we know that is governed by the Constitution and includes the American way of life. Democrats – at least the left wing of the party – wants to move the United States further down the road to socialism.

It is one thing to have the election become the result of a national discussion about the future, and it is something else to have the election affected by voter fraud and/or foreign influence. There is a lot of concern in the nation about both voter fraud and foreign influence, but few people seem to know which will have the greatest impact on the election. James Carafano at The Heritage Foundation believes that voter fraud is “more likely to affect the election.”

One of the reasons why voter fraud is such a problem is that the two parties will not work together to safeguard the electoral process. Instead, each party points their finger at their political opponent and completely forgets that the main interest for Americans is to make a difference with their vote.

Carafano emphasized that “Foreign powers have tried to meddle in our elections – through overt action and covert manipulation – since we started having elections.” He said that “Election meddling is part of foreign statecraft.” He shared the example of Great Britain trying to “tilt a neutral America their way in the battle against the Axis powers” during “the years leading up to Pearl Harbor.” It stands to reason that China would prefer Joe Biden to be elected because his attitude toward China is much different than that of Donald Trump. If we are being honest, Russia would most likely prefer Biden also.

Carafano said that foreign influence presents two threats to American voting integrity. The first is “efforts to actually manipulate and change voting outcomes,” and the second is “efforts to influence voters.” He said that the US government “already takes very seriously” any “Efforts to actually change votes.” He added, “There is no proof that the Chinese, Russian, Iranian, or any other foreign government changed or interfered with balloting during the 2016 election.” However, the “allegations of wrongdoing” brought significant toughening of “ballot protection efforts” by both the federal and state governments. He said that those efforts will continue as we move toward the 2020 election.

Carafano said that “Americans ought to be far more concerned about domestic voter fraud and the integrity of state-managed election efforts.” A database maintained by The Heritage Foundation “shows that domestic voter fraud is all too real and all too common.” This is a sad conclusion because “Every vote cast illegally undermines the integrity of the system and the rights of legitimate voters.” In close elections, voter “fraud could undermine our democratic will.” We should all admit that voter fraud does happen even when we cannot determine how, where, or by whom.

Carafano suggested that Americans “worry less about foreign interference and concentrate on pressing state and local election authorities to adopt practices and provide oversight to assure that every legitimate vote is counted, and every bogus vote gets spotted and tossed out.” This sounds like good counsel for our deeply divided nation. We should all be working together to protect our election process, particularly when we know that the soul of our nation is at stake.

Voter Fraud

The topic of discussion for this Constitution Monday concerns voter fraud. Leftists lost bad in the 2016 election and have been actively working to make sure that they do not lose again. One way that they hope to win is by the votes of people who are not eligible to vote under the laws of the United States. Laws do not seem to matter to leftists because they tend to do whatever they want to do.

Michael Bargo, Jr. posted an article on American Thinker about various ways that leftists seek to control the vote. He explains that after the Civil War whites in the southern states tried to stop freed slaves from voting. They instituted certain rules for Blacks that did not apply to anyone else, such as the requirement to recite the Gettysburg Address. Now they are using sanctuary cities to draw illegals to bolster their rolls. Bargo continues with these words.

But now times have changed, and those cities that call themselves sanctuaries for illegal immigration are engaged in a new vote fraud scheme: to enable “noncitizens” to vote. It’s a combination of two things: cheating immigration rules and cheating citizenship rules in order to establish new methods of vote fraud. This strategy is the polar opposite of the post-Civil War strategy: the methods of vote suppression have now become methods of vote enabling. Persons who are not citizens are now being allowed and fraudulently authorized to go to polling places and vote, violating all federal election laws. Here’s how it came about.

After losing the 2016 presidential election, Democrats were more determined than ever to regain the electoral strength in their big metropolitan areas. They made their big metropolitan areas into sanctuaries for one reason: all the big cities have been controlled by the Democratic National Machine, and all have been losing population since 1950. In order to restore the numbers of voters they need to win state and national elections, they needed more people.

The article continues with numerous details about how leftists enable voter fraud. They do not care what happens to the country. All they want is to be in power, and they do not care how they obtain that power. The article is an interesting read because it leads to understanding of what has happened in the past as well as what could happen in the future.

Election Integrity

The topic of discussion for this Constitution Monday concerns the importance of integrity in the elections the United States. President Donald Trump is so concerned about voter fraud that he established a Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity on May 11, 2017, by Executive Order. Vice President Mike Pence was appointed as chairman of the Commission, and Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach was appointed as the vice chair.

President Trump closed his commission on election integrity by another Executive Order on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. He still stresses the need for bringing integrity to the elections by the requirement for more voter identification. The task for ensuring election integrity has now been given to the Department of Homeland Security.

The Commission accomplished all that it could do without the cooperation from most Democrat-led states. These states refused to release to the Commission their data from the 2016 Election. They did not want the Commission looking at their data or the methods for collecting it. Apparently, they have something to hide. Could it be many people casting illegal votes?

President Trump insists that the system is rigged, especially in the states that will not release their information. Many people are wondering if the President will call for a national voter ID system. Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on Thursday that there is no decisive White House answer about whether or not the President favors a nation-wide voter ID system.

Fred Lucas reports at The Daily Signal that the Commission consisted of five Democrats and seven Republicans. He says that Hans von Spakovsky, a senior legal fellow at The Heritage Foundation was a member of the Commission. He shares the following quote from Von Spakovsky that explains why the Commission could not accomplish its task.

Unjustified refusal from some states to work with us and dozens of meritless lawsuits; those two things made it next to impossible for the commission to do its work… They don’t want the American people to find the truth about [voter] fraud and errors and double voting.

I am in favor of election integrity. I know that most Americans have personal identification because they need it for many other reasons than voting. I have to identify myself in many different situations. I cannot withdraw money from the bank without showing ID. I cannot see a doctor without showing ID. I cannot get into the Social Security office without showing ID and going through a metal detector. I cannot get on an airplane or even purchase certain medication without identifying myself. I assume that most Americans face similar situations. So, why is it such a big problem to identify ourselves before we vote for our leaders?

Even though I want election officials to require voters to show personal identification, I have mixed feelings about a requirement for national identification. I do not know why I feel such apprehension because I already have a U.S. Passport. I am already in the national register!

I decided to research some of the pros and cons of a national identification system and found this site that lists several of each. The pros of national ID cards listed on this site are:
(1) Immigration Control: … The card would include information about the person, such as height, weight and eye color, and other aspects to make it harder to forge. (2) Easier Identification: … While many people use a driver’s license [for making purchases with a credit or debit card], a national ID card will also let those without driver’s licenses prove their identity more easily and without hassle.

The site lists three problems with national identification cards: (1) Feasibility [training and maintenance of staff, difficulty of proof for accomplishing task, and people like homeless who do not have Social Security numbers or birth certificates], (2) Redundancy: … There is no point in having a separate national identity card when the state driver’s license system is already in place, and (3) Possible Invasion of Privacy.

Invasion of privacy or corrupted use of the identification is what concerns me. Therefore, I want to give you the full explanation from the site for this con in order to have better understanding.

National identification cards can be used to track an individual. In order for the national identification card to be usable by the government, a national database containing personal information would have to be created. This database could be considered an invasion of privacy. However, if the government chooses not to create this database, then it will be too easy for individuals to commit fraud by having multiple cards with different identities. (Emphasis added.)

I will be watching this process closely because it presents yet another situation where we must give up freedoms in order to have security. If we want election integrity, are we willing to be registered nationally? I am not sure that I am willing to give up more freedom!

Voter Fraud

The topic of discussion for this Constitution Monday is voter fraud. Liberals laughed at President Donald Trump when he claimed that voter fraud kept him from winning the popular vote. There may not be the millions of fraudulent votes that he claimed, but there were cases of falsified voter registration.

Less than two weeks ago Fox News reported that twelve people were “charged for allegedly submitting fake or fraudulent voter registration applications before the 2016 presidential election.” There were eleven temporary employees and one supervisor working for an Indiana-based group that was working on registering black voters. The group was “tied to former Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid and former President Bill Clinton. The group “allegedly submitted an unknown number of falsified applications” that were “known to be `false, fictitious, or fraudulent.’”

The report covered one group in one state that “allegedly submitted an unknown number” of application to vote. How many other groups were doing the same thing?

Judicial Watch is a “conservative, non-partisan American educational foundation that promotes transparency, accountability and integrity in government, politics and the law.” For the 2016 election they worked through their Election Integrity Project to bring about fair and honest elections. They printed a booklet titled 8 Things You Can Do Now to Help STOP Voter Fraud. The pamphlet is a guide to help citizens in ensuring that the 2016 and future elections are free and fair. Even though the 2016 election is in the past, there will be future elections that citizens can begin thinking about and working towards. The eight suggestions for becoming involved are as follow.

1. Become a poll worker.
2. Become a poll watcher.
3. Perform voter registration research.
4. Speak out at election board meetings and local precinct sessions.
5. Write “Letters to the Editor” and opinion editorials.
6. Call in to radio talk shows.
7. Create your own blog, or blog on other sites.
8. Be active in social networking.

You may wonder if you can actually make a difference. The writers of pamphlet respond with a definite yes. “In every county in every state where more people are listed on voter rolls than are counted in the Census, there is a problem, and one that can lead to fraud.” Many states have messy voter registration rolls that “can be greatly improved with the help of volunteers like you…. Your help is needed both to examine voter registration rolls and to act as poll workers and poll watchers for your precinct. Only in this way can we ensure free and fair elections.”

The pamphlet gives contact information for both Judicial Watch and True the Vote. I encourage you to become involved in one or more of the suggested ways, either as an individual, part of a local group, or by contacting one of the following organizations.
