Donald Trump is
a poor winner. He is the Republican nominee for President of the United States,
but he is acting like a spoiled child who did not get what he wanted. Does it
really matter whether Ted Cruz endorsed Trump in his speech at the Republican
National Convention? I do not think so. I believe the important thing is that
Cruz declined to challenge Trump at the convention. Still, Trump continues to
say negative things about Cruz. Why would a grown man even care?
Amber Phillips at The Washington Post discusses the fact that Trump continues to heap verbal abuse upon Cruz.
After the speech Trump implied that Cruz had added unapproved remarks about
Trump. “The Fix team” found only one sentence that was added: “And like each of
you, I want to see the principles that our party believes prevail in November.”
Cruz did not endorse Trump, but he certainly did not snub Trump as Trump
implied.
I believe it is time for the
man-child Donald Trump to grow up and put the primary campaign behind him. He
is now the Republican nominee for President, and, as such, he should act
presidential. Of the two men, Cruz is definitely acting more mature than Trump.
Maybe the voters made another bad mistake in choosing Trump as the nominee!
