Could Future Americans See an End to Abortion on Demand?

The liberty principle for this Freedom Friday is the simple fact that all Americans – born and unborn – have the constitutional right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Even though Roe v. Wade is the current law of the land, it may not always be. It seems that more and more members of the rising generation are recognizing that unborn babies are human beings.

President Donald Trump is the most pro-life president in the history of the nation, and he is assisted by Vice President Mike Pence, another pro-life advocate. Pence spoke at a pro-life event in Raleigh, North Carolina, today and said of young Americans, “This rising generation is the pro-life generation.” He added, “This generation is going to reclaim the principle that every life matters.

Roe v. Wade is the law, but a recent U.S. Supreme Court case challenged that law. A Louisiana law that regulates abortion clinics was struck down by the high court recently with a 5-4 ruling. However, case after case will come before the court until one of them overturns Roe v. Wade. How do I know it will be overturned? I know that truth always prevails. Roe v. Wade became the law before ultrasounds gave us proof that unborn babies were human beings and not just blobs of matter. The rising generation is more pro-life than previous generations because they are not blind to the truth. It is only a matter of time before they become the leaders of the nation and the makers of decisions.

President Trump has nominated, and the Senate has confirmed more than 200 federal judges, including two Justices on the Supreme Court. By the end of this year, that number may be 300. All the judges and justices nominated by Trump are constitutionally based. With another four years, he could fill several more openings on the Supreme Court and hundreds more federal judge appointments. With fewer liberal judges on the courts, more abortion cases will move up through the court system. It is only a matter of time, but no one knows how many years will pass before U.S. laws reflect what Americans already know: every life is precious in the eyes of God.
