Good Benghazi Questions

                Why are Democrat Senators reluctant to create a selective committee in the U.S. Senate to investigate Benghazi?  Why are the Democrats so afraid of learning the truth about Benghazi?  Do they already know the truth?  Are they trying to keep the truth hidden? 

                Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) asked the Senate to approve a resolution supporting the creation of a select committee to investigate Benghazi.  Senator Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, blocked the request, stating that the request was politically motivated.

                Before Senator Cruz made his request, he asked ten key questions about the 2012 attack against the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.  These are more good questions, questions that deserve answers, but Democrats do not seem to want to know the answers.  Do they know already?  Senator Cruz’s questions are as follow.

“1) Why was the State Department unwilling to provide the requested level of security to Benghazi in the summer of 2012?

2) Do President Obama’s daily intelligence briefings in the run-up to September 11, 2012, support the assertion that there was no credible threat of a coordinated terrorist attack on Benghazi during the time?  And do the daily intelligence briefings following that date support the claim the administration made that the cause was an Internet video?  And why hasn’t the White House declassified and released those briefings, just like President George W. Bush did with his pre-September 11, 2001, briefings?

3) Why did we not anticipate the need to have military assets at the ready in the region on the anniversary of September 11, of all days?

4) Did President Obama sleep the night of September 11, 2012?  Did Secretary Clinton?  Neither has answered that very simple question – were they awake or asleep while Americans were under fire?  When was President Obama told about the murder of our Ambassador?

5) If the Secretary of Defense thought there was `no questions that this was a coordinated attack,’ why did Ambassador Susan Rice, Secretary Clinton and President Obama all tell the American people that the cause was a spontaneous demonstration about an Internet video?

6) Why did former deputy CIA Director Mike Morrell edit the intelligence community talking points to delete the references to Islamic extremists and Al Qaeda?

7) Why did the FBI not release pictures of the militants taken the day of the attack until eight months after the fact?  Why not immediately, as proved so effective in the Boston bombing?

8) Why was Secretary Clinton not interviewed for the A.R.B. [Accountability Review Board] report?  And if all the relevant questions were answered in the A.R.B. report… why did the State Department’s own Inspector General Office open a probe into the methods of that very report?

9) Why have none of the terrorists who attacked in Benghazi been captured or killed?

10) What additional evidence that the White House engaged in a partisan political campaign to blame the Benghazi attack on the Internet video is contained in the additional emails requested by Judicial Watch but withheld by the White House on the grounds that it would put a `chill on internal deliberations?’”

                Do you have a desire to know the answers to these and other questions?  Do you think it is important to learn the truth about the attack in Benghazi?  Do you even care about the truth?  Is your attitude similar to that of Secretary Clinton who asked, “What difference does it make?” 

                I believe that it makes a big difference.  I believe that our President, his administration and probably some members of Congress are involved in criminal activity against the well-being of the United States.  I believe they are members of a secret combination, similar to the secret combinations that destroyed the government of the Nephites told in the Book of Mormon – Another Testament of Jesus Christ.

                Elder M. Russell Ballard of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles issued a warning against secret combinations in 1997:  “The Book of Mormon teaches that secret combinations engaged in crime present a serious challenge, not just to individuals and families but to entire civilizations.  Among today’s secret combinations are gangs, drug cartels, and organized crime families.  The secret combinations of our day function much like the Gadianton robbers of the Book of Mormon times.  They have secret signs and code words.  They participate in secret rites and initiation ceremonies.  Among their purposes are to `murder, and plunder, and steal, and commit whoredoms and all manner of wickedness, contrary to the laws of their country and also the laws of their God” (Helaman 6:23).

                “If we are not careful, today’s secret combinations can obtain power and influence just as quickly and just as completely as they did in Book of Mormon times….”  (See “Standing for Truth and Right,” Ensign, Nov. 1997.) 

                The Nephites were destroyed because they allowed the secret combinations of their day to gain power over them.  Are we going to follow the same path to destruction?  Or will we find the answers to our questions about what happened in Benghazi on September 11, 2012, and why?  Will we destroy the secret combinations of our day before they destroy our government?

Benghazi - Follow the Weapons

                Douglas Hagmann is the founder and director of the Northeast Intelligence Network; he is also a multi-state licensed private investigative agency.  He uses his investigative skills and training to fight terrorism and increase public awareness through his website.  He can be reached here.   He recently published a very interesting article at Canada Free Press. 

                Mr. Hagmann reminded his readers of the instructions received by Washington Post journalists Woodward and Bernstein from their confidential source known as “Deep Throat.”  The source told the journalist to “Follow the money” in order “to get to the bottom of the Nixon White House cover-up of the Watergate burglaries in 1972.”  Media persistence forced the creation of the Senate Watergate Committee, which eventually led to indictments, convictions, and the resignation of President Richard Nixon.  Nixon resigned before he could be impeached by the U.S. House of Representatives.  His problem was not only the crime but also the cover-up of the crime.

                Mr. Hagmann continued, “In consideration of last week’s announcement of a Select Committee on Benghazi, truth-seeking Americans titillated by the formation of this committee would be well advised to recall the backroom dealings that established the Senate Watergate Committee and the political perimeters to which it was bound.  The back story is nicely articulated by Jeffrey Lord in his article published in the American Spectator titled Trey Gowdy and the Real Lesson of Watergate.   Although I am in favor of the formation of a truly independent investigative body, my hopes for the whole truth to be made known are not only tempered by history, but the magnitude of the crime, not scandal, that is now simply known as `Benghazi.’

                “In the event that it has gone unnoticed, the White House and the U.S. Department of State is desperate for every American to believe that persistent questions about the attack at Benghazi on September 11, 2012, that killed four Americans, including a U.S. Ambassador (the first such murder in more than 30 years) are nothing more than a baseless political ploy against the current administration and a gratuitous attack to derail a potential future candidate for president.  So do many in congress.  So do nearly all of the major media outlets, every Progressive blog on the internet, and countless political pundits.

                “Irrational yet exuberant allegiance to their own political messiah and their matriarch of international mayhem aside, there is a much more important reason for this frenzied veil of protection against any thorough and meaningful inquiry.  Although only a few similarities exist between the `Deep Throat’ of Watergate and my intelligence source for facts related to Benghazi, the message is similar.  Instead being directed to `follow the money,’ I was directed to `follow the weapons.’”

                Since receiving that instruction, Mr. Hagmann has written more than four dozen investigative reports about the attack on Benghazi.  He also interviewed Robert “Tosh” Plumlee on his radio broadcast, on April 30, 2014.  The Obama Administration is trying to silence Plumlee because of the eleven questions he posted on his Facebook page.  Mr. Hagmann asked another question that deserves an answer:  Where was Barack Obama during this period?”  His secondary question is, “If Barack Obama was not in charge or making decisions during this most critical period in recent American history, who was? 

                The efforts of the administration to silence Mr. Plumlee and other whistle blower illustrate the need for us to seek more truth.  Mr. Hagmann’s article is very informative and helpful in this endeavor.  I encourage you to read it.

Movement on Benghazi

                After twenty months of waiting for some action on the disaster in Benghazi, we finally have movement!  Representative Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) has been selected to lead an investigative committee on Benghazi.  Congressman Gowdy is like a bull dog on a scent; as such, he could be in trouble if he is left on his own.  I believe there are a few other members of Congress who will help him.  One of those helpers could be Representative Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) who recently blasted Democrats for expressing “face outrage” about the Republicans politicizing Benghazi.  I encourage you to watch as Congressman Cotton explains the rules he learned while serving in the Army:  (1) Move to the sound of gunfire, (2) Supervise the execution of your orders, and (3) Leave no man behind.  He said the Army expects more of its lieutenants than our nation got from our Commander-in-Chief.  The blast is well worth the listening time.

More on Benghazi

                I believe the Obama Administration might have their backs in a corner on the Benghazi problem.  Four Americans – Ambassador Chris Stevens, information officer Sean Smith, and former Navy SEALS Tyron Woods and Glen Doherty – were killed in Benghazi, Libya, during an attack at our consulate during the night of September 11-12, 2012.  The administration lied to the American people and continues to lie; however, the truth continues to trickle out.  Americans want some truthful answers from the administration.

                “On the night of September 11, 2012, a heavily armed group of between 125 and 150 gunmen attacked the American diplomatic mission at Benghazi, in Libya, killed U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and another diplomat.  Several hours later in the early morning of the next day, a second assault targeted a nearby CIA annex in a different compound about one mile away, killing two embassy security personnel.  Ten others were injured in the attacks which were condemned by the governments of Libya, the United States, and many other countries throughout the world….

                “Initially, it was reported that the Benghazi attack emerged from a spontaneous protest against a video, Innocence of Muslims.  Subsequent investigations by the U.S. State Department; by the House of Representatives committees on Armed Services, Foreign Affairs, Intelligence, the Judiciary, and Oversight and Government Reform; and by the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence determined that there was no protest and that the attack was a planned terrorist attack launched by Islamist militants….”

                Doug Hagmann published an interesting article at Canada Free Press.  The U.S. Department of Justice has set its sights on an extra-ordinary CIA whistleblower, Robert “Tosh” Plumlee.  Mr. Plumlee has “extensive history and knowledge of the criminal infiltration into the U.S. government, their methods and operations.”  As such, he has “become one of the most dangerous men to the criminal cabal operating at the highest levels of the U.S. government.  The Holder Justice Department and the criminal `gatekeepers’ within the CIA and other government agencies desperately want him silenced – and they absolutely intend to do just that.”

                Mr. Hagmann describes how Mr. Plumlee “laid it all out in stunning detail” on April 30, 2014, edition of The Hagmann & Hagmann Report.  “His disclosures, in the form of 11 questions, validate the information I provided in nearly four dozen separate reports since the 2012 attacks.  They expose that the operations of the criminal cabal that were operating under diplomatic cover are in direct violation of U.S. and international law.  They are, in large part, responsible for the quarter-of-a-million deaths of men, women and children in Syria and the millions of refugees.  Those numbers are still climbing, and the path being laid is taking us and the world to World War III.”

                Mr. Plumlee asked the following eleven questions, questions that the federal government wants to censor.  (1) “Is the United States secretly arming and supporting various factions of the Syrian Rebels with high caliber impact weapons from the United States arsenals?”

(2) “Is the United States little known Direct Commercial Sales Program, also known as `The Blue Lantern Report”, being used as a `cutout’ to secretly aid both sides of a Middle Eastern civil war?  (3) Is America again playing both sides against the middle for corporate gain as previously demonstrated by the Cuban Project of the fifties and sixties, as well as the Iran Contra fiasco of the eighties and the South American-Mexican Drug Wars of the nineties?  …. “ (4) “What happens to those weapons after legally being sold via this program and they leave our control?”

(5) “Are they being monitored, traced, certified, and inventoried after arriving in other countries?”  (6) “Will our troops one day again face these American made weapons on some foreign battlefield?”  (7) “Is this Direct Commercial Sales program a secret cash cow for many US Corporations, International arms merchants, its insiders, or affiliates?”  (8) “Is it possible this could be another `off-the-books’ secret covert operation ran by the CIA’s Special Tactical Unit, similar to the Iran-Contra operations of the eighties and the old Cuban projects of the fifties and sixties, where we supplied both sides weapons and escalated the conflict for personal and corporate gain?”  (9) “Could we be selling and supplying dangerous high impact weapons, while aiding and financing both sides of a Civil War in Syria?”  (10) “Could we be escalating the Middle East conflict either knowingly or unintentionally providing weapons to both sides of the Syrian conflict?  These are simple questions.  I’m just asking:  Did our Ambassador and others, weeks before they were murdered, notify our State Department and CIA that Syrian Rebels had obtained US Weapons, including `Stinger missiles’ from Jordan, Turkey, Pakistan, shipped from CIA safe houses?”  (11) “Were they told to `Stand Down’?”

                These are interesting questions that deserve honest answers.  There are many other good questions.  I believe it is past time we got answers to some of the questions.  Maybe Rep. Trey Gowdy can dig out the truth!

Benghazi Is Hot News

                News about Benghazi is popping up all over the news; even the main stream media outlets have been forced to cover it.  The latest news is so bad that House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) is considering action to form a select committee to investigate the 2012 attacks in Benghazi.  The news must be really hot because Mr. Boehner has previously been cool to this idea.  Mr. Boehner claims that a recently released e-mail is the “straw that broke the camel’s back.”  This is good news!

                Mr. Boehner is not wants a more in-depth investigation done on Benghazi, he wants Representative Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) to lead the committee.  Since Mr. Boehner prefers him, Mr. Gowdy is most likely to preside over the investigative committee.  As far as I am concerned, Mr. Gowdy is like a bull dog.  He stands his ground and does not take any guff from anyone!  I cannot think of anyone I would more like to see lead an investigative committee than Mr. Gowdy!  He tells it like it is and is not afraid of the truth!

                Mr. Boehner stated, "Americans learned this week that the Obama Administration is so intent on obstructing the truth about Benghazi that it is even willing to defy subpoenas issued by the standing committees of the People’s House….  These revelations compel the House to take every possible action to ensure the American people have the truth about the terrorist attack on our consulate that killed four of our countrymen.

                “In light of these new developments, the House will vote to establish a new select committee to investigate the attack, provide the necessary accountability, and ensure justice is finally served.”

                Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group, submitted a Freedom of Information Act request over a year ago for information about Benghazi.  The Obama administration gave some material, but Judicial Watch demanded more.  A new e-mail released last week is supposedly the “smoking gun” that connected the White House to the disaster in Benghazi.  The e-mail showed that the White House simply ignored the intelligence reports and made their own talking points.  The intelligence reports showed that Al Qaeda was involved in the Benghazi attack.  Instead of accepting responsibility for the lax security at the consulate in Benghazi, “they” decided to lie to the American people and say the attack was a spontaneous protest against an anti-Muslim video. 

                The e-mail was not the only “bomb” thrown at the Obama administration last week.  A retired Air Force General went before a House committee and testified that he knew the attack was not the result of a spontaneous protest against an anti-Muslim video and he had that information “early on.”   

                The Obama Administration knew “early on” that the Benghazi attack was not caused by a video, but numerous members of the administration – including Barack Obama, Hilary Clinton, Susan Rice, and Jay Carney – all publicly blamed a You Tube video that very few people even knew about!   Over a period of two weeks – September 12 to 26, 2012, members of the administration blamed the video at least seven times as shown here.  

                Americans – and particularly the parents and loved ones of those killed in Benghazi – want to know the truth of what happened and why it happened.  Charles Woods, the father of former Navy SEAL Ty Woods who was killed in Benghazi, was interviewed by Sean Hannity.  He expressed his frustration about the fact that no military units attempted to save the Americans.  He listened to the testimony of Brig. Gen. Robert Lovell (Ret.) and then said, “And there was no attempt made.  As many military have said, within an hour or an hour and a half they could have had jets from Italy above the battle at Benghazi.  Whether they were armed or not, at least they could have broken the sound barrier, they could’ve dispersed and caused confusion on the battlefield.  Even that was not done.  No attempt was made.”

                We all want to know the truth about Benghazi.  Why was our ambassador left with so little security?  Why didn’t the military respond to the attack on Americans?  Why did the administration lie – and continue to lie today – about what happened?

Benghazi - One Year Later

                One year ago on September 11, 2012, terrorists attacked a U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, and killed four Americans.  The four men who were killed were our U.S. Ambassador to Libya and three other men.  Ambassador Chris Stevens and Foreign Service Officer Sean Smith died of smoke inhalation in the main consulate building.  Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods, both former U.S. Navy Seals, died defending the survivors of the attack after they had retreated to a nearby CIA facility.

                On the first anniversary of the Benghazi attack, little has changed since the attacks took place.  TheBlaze  published a “timeline detailing how the events first unfolded in Benghazi – and now on the political battlefield in Washington, D.C.”  Their timeline covers everything from the night of the attacks.  The latest news is a report out of the New York Times that the Libyan government will not arrest the suspected murderers, and Secretary of State John Kerry told Congress that he will not permit the survivors of the attacks to testify before Congress.

                Even though John Kerry appears to have the same opinion as his predecessor Hilary Clinton – “What difference does it make now?” – the House Oversight Committee wants some answers.  The committee sent a letter on September 8, 2013, to John Kerry “demanding the Benghazi survivors be made available for interviews with Congress or else they may be subpoenaed.”  Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif) said that he will have “no alternative but to consider the use of compulsory process” if the Kerry continues to object.

                Citing the need for exemptions because of “ongoing investigations or national security,” the “FBI, CIA, Director of National Intelligence, Defense Department, State Department, and National Security Agency have rejected or failed to answer multiple Freedom of Information (FOI) requests made by CBS News.”  Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group, has also filed FOI lawsuits for information about the Benghazi attacks.  One of the big questions is how the video became the story.

                According to a report by CBS News, Representative Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) said, “Benghazi matters as much today as it did on September 11, 2012.”  He “wants to know why the State Department allowed a consulate that did not meet security requirements to remain open; what assets, if any, were en route when the siege ended; and was there any evidence upon which Susan Rice based her public pronouncements that this attack was a response to a video?”

                Benghazi is not going away.  We remember that four Americans were killed, and we want to know why.  We also want to know why our President and members of his administration lied to us and why they are keeping information from us.

Benghazi - Again

                Information keeps coming out about the terrorist attacks in Benghazi, Libya, in which Ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were killed on September 11, 2012.

                Bill Gertz posted an article at WashingtonTimes.com reporting on a claim posted online by a terrorist affiliated with al Qaeda.  The terrorist, Abdallah Dhu-al-Bajadin, claimed that Ambassador Stevens “was killed by lethal injection after plans to kidnap him during the Sept. 11 attacks in Benghazi went bad.”  The terrorist claimed that the “plan was based on abduction and exchange of high-level prisoners.  However, the operation took another turn, for a reason God only knows, when one of the members of the jihadist cell improvised and followed Plan B.”  The terrorist did not state what substance was injected into the Ambassador, and no official cause of death for the Ambassador has been made public by the Administration.  This claim has not been dismissed by U.S. officials, but they declined to comment on it. 

                While our Ambassador and other Americans were being killed and still others injured, members of our national security team were watching the attacks in real time as they were transmitted by a spy drone.   Our President met with the Secretary of Defense at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time (11:00 p.m. in Benghazi).  He then retired to the family quarters in the White House and had no further contact with the Secretary of Defense or the Secretary of State while Americans were suffering and/or being killed.  There is little wonder that the Obama Administration hopes this scandal falls by the wayside and is overshadowed by the IRS scandal!

Benghazi - Where Was Obama?

                It appears that the question “where was Obama while four Americans were being killed in Benghazi?” has gotten even more interesting.  The White House has consistently refused to answer the question or give any kind of explanation for why the President – the Commander-in Chief of the Armed Forces – was AWOL (away without leave) and/or MIA (missing in action).  I firmly believe that Americans have the RIGHT to know where he was when he was supposed to be leading!

                Charles Krauthammer became the latest media person to ask “where was President Obama during the attacks in Benghazi.”  Krauthammer believes the missing-in-action President is the bigger scandal.  His interview on Fox News can be found here.  

                Chris Wallace at Fox News interviewed Dan Pfeiffer, senior advisor to President Obama, on May 19, 2013, about the scandals plaguing the Obama Administration.  They discussed the IRS targeting of conservative individuals and groups before turning to the topic of Benghazi.  Wallace asked Pfeiffer:  “Let’s turn to Benghazi. And I want to ask you about a lingering question, which is the president’s actions on 9/11, the night of the attack, because we don’t know very much about that.”  Wallace asked Pfeiffer numerous times and in numerous ways where the President was during those crucial 18 ½ hours on September 11, 2012.  Pfeiffer told Wallace that it was “a largely irrelevant fact” where the President was and the fact that people keep asking where Obama was that night “is absolutely an offensive premise.   And there’s no evidence to support it.  Wallace continued asking where the President was, and Pfeiffer never answered the question.

                Kevin DuJan at HillBuzz  suggests that President was not available during the attack on Benghazi because he was using cocaine.  “If you’ve ever known anyone who is a drug addict, you’d see it’s obvious that Barack Obama was high on cocaine the night of Benghazi; it is the only logical explanation for his disappearance and the White House’s refusal to comment on what he was doing at the time.  Since this was a night of great crisis for our country, the only logical reason that the White House won’t explain where the president was is if this man was high as a kite on illegal narcotics at the time.”

                DuJan mentioned that a friend suggested that “Obama was having sex with Reggie Love during the `missing hours,’ but he apparently did not agree.  “I think Obama doing cocaine is a much better explanation for his missing hours, simply because at his age and with all the men he’s been with it’s not like he couldn’t just stop romancing Reggie for a little bit… and then get back to it when they were in Vegas....  It’s not like this would have been the first time that Barack Obama was having gay sex… so surely he could have pushed `pause’ to be president for a while (before getting back to whatever he was up to when the crisis was over).

                “However, once you take drugs you are pretty much on another astral plane for however long it takes for the drugs to leave your system….”

                Doug Hagmann thinks the Obama Administration should stop acting like teenagers trying to keep their parents unaware of their mischief.  “All the White House has to do is produce the authenticated logs of POTUS activities and his location that are maintained for every minute of every day within the walls of the house of the people.  If he has nothing to hide, then produce the records of who he was with, what he was doing, when he was doing it, where he was during this missing time, and why.

                “According to my source within the intelligence community, the answer to this question is one of the most critically important and revealing pieces of information that is being deliberately hidden from the American public.

                “There is no need to further insult the American people with elusiveness and semantics, or add insult to the injury and death of Americans on the night of September 11, 2012.  We need straight answers, and we need them now.  Stop acting like your teenagers who believe that they are smarter than their parents, or suspects that can outsmart the questions of professional investigators with convoluted semantics.  Answer the question.”

                Marinka Peschmann reported that the attack on Benghazi was not a terrorist attack, but “a nation-state attack, an escalation of war, and an opening of a new front in the tit for tat conflict with Iran and by extension their proxy partner Russia that is now being fought in Syria….

                “What is happening is America is [in] the final stages of the run up to the next major military conflict coming up in the Middle East.  But unlike Iraq and Afghanistan or the smaller operations in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya, Syria won’t implode; it will explode and spread throughout the region in an epic bloody, deadly Sunni-Shiite conflict.  Christians, people of all faiths, non-believers will be persecuted if not outright slaughtered.  Think Islamic Caliphate time.

                “The security and existence of Israel will also be in jeopardy.  As Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz recently warned:  Israel must prepare for a three-front war, presumably having to defend themselves from Syria, Lebanon, and Iran.  Already sectarian violence is flaring up in Lebanon and Syria.  On top of Iran’s nuclear program, Israel will have to defend herself from Syria’s massive weapons arsenal that includes `advanced anti-aircraft missiles, anti-ship missiles and surface-to-air missiles.  Syria also has large stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, advanced artillery as well as the other components of a large conventional military force,’ reports Caroline Glick.  In addition Israel could also become the target of the weapons that went missing from Libya and Col. Muammar Gaddafi’s vast weapons arsenal that the Obama-Clinton funded rebels looted from Gaddafi’s warehouses and includes the most advanced Russian surface-to-air missiles, SA-24s that are easily launched from a person’s shoulder or a truck bed that can take down low-flying military and commercial aircraft.

                “I repeat massive bloodbath ahead, genocide and ethnic cleaning draws near if Obama’s underhanded policies are not stopped….

                “Wake up America.  Wake up the useful idiots now.  The Obama administration has picked a fight with Iran and Russia in Syria which could trigger World War III.  It intensified with the Obama-Clinton regime’s gunrunning out of Libya into Syria.  As the WSJ reported, Hillary’s State Department provided the `diplomatic cover’ in Benghazi.  Do not be deceived.  Benghazi was a nation-state attack.”

                It sounds to me that Obama had a good reason to get “high on cocaine” and go missing for 18 ½ hours!  His plan had exploded in his face, and he did not like reality.  He obviously failed to look out for America’s interests.  Now what do we do – punt?

                I have written about the terrorist attacks in Benghazi, Libya, several times in the past month.  I posted on May 7 about the four whistleblowers who had come forth to testify about the happenings in Benghazi.  The very next day I wrote more about the congressional hearing about Benghazi.    A week later the Obama Administration was fighting three major scandals. The next day I wrote about the difficulties of staying ahead of the scandals.  I questioned why so many scandals were popping up all of a sudden and wondered what was being hidden.

                I was not the only person wondering about the frenzy.  Doug Hagmann was also asking questions about the flurry of scandals suddenly thrust upon us.  “As the details of Benghazi are beginning to emerge from `whistleblowers’ and the murderous events are being rightfully elevated to the proper realm of criminal conspiracy, other scandals have suddenly seemed to erupt, almost as if cued by a complicit choreographer.  Most egregious misdeeds of the Internal Revenue Service, for example, that allegedly targeted Conservative groups, from 501c3 organizations to any group with Tea party or Constitution in their names, were suddenly `revealed.’

                “Other scandals of lesser significance, but nonetheless poking at the embers of public ire and intolerance are popping up as well.  Watching the people who are reading the multiple news headlines on various news aggregator sites are like watching spectators at Wimbledon, as their heads move from side to side as they follow the ball in play.  The white noise of new problems are constantly erupting, resulting in a feeding frenzy in the waters surrounding the Executive branch.

                “While fascinating to watch, has anyone stopped to consider that the process of chumming the waters with a flurry of cascading news events, combined with a docu-dump of 100 pages of Benghazi e-mails is actually a methodically orchestrated diversion?  What is it we are not supposed to be seeing amid the white noise of new controversies of varying values?  …

                “Like a levy that has been suspiciously breached, the informational flood created by these news events is without recent precedent.  The timing of this flood is of particularly critical importance.  The headlines are diverting our attention away from a critical window of investigative value relating to Benghazi.  Could it be that we’re seeing a form of force majeure being implemented to overwhelm and distract us from something far more important to truth seekers and consequently, much more lethal to Obama’s second term?  Perhaps the Cloward-Piven strategy adapted and modified for the modern news cycles of today?”

                Hagmann discussed how both the Watergate and the Benghazi cover ups were to hide a “nugget” of information that would damage the administration.  During the Watergate investigation a great battle took place about tapes that were made in the White House.  When the tapes were finally released there were 18½ minutes not accounted for.  “Analysis of that effacement determined that it was the result of at least five separate manual erasures, verifying that the missing time memorialized by these tapes was no accident.

                “Whether it’s Watergate or Benghazi, there’s one piece of evidence in both of these criminal cover-ups from which the actors involved try to deflect your attention by any means possible….  It is a highly protected secret nestled among other less damning facts, diversions and deceptions.

                “Benghazi is no exception, but instead provides a textbook example of diversion from the golden nugget hidden inside a crusted shell made to look like all others.  So, just what is that particular nugget of criminal naughtiness?

                “The nugget that is being hidden here is not content of the memos relating to matters of diplomatic security, but something far more nefarious and elusive by its mere simplicity.  Like the questions that surrounded the mysterious 18 ½ minute gap in the Watergate tapes forty-years ago, there is a period of missing time that few seem anxious to address.  By order of magnitude, however, this missing time is far greater than anything we saw with Watergate.  Instead of 18 ½ minutes of presidential time, it’s nearly 18 ½ hours of time involving actions, utterances, commands or lack thereof of Barack Hussein Obama as Americans were being killed a half-world away.

                “Expose that nugget and I suspect the finding will be far more damaging, far more troubling, and exceedingly more alarming than anyone has begun to imagine.  It is this mystical missing period of time where many clues exist.  Exactly where was Barack Hussein Obama following his 5:00 meeting in the Oval Office until the next day?  Where wasn’t he?  It’s almost as if the Wizard of Oz himself waved his magical wand to divert attention away from those lost hours.”

                Hagmann’s article continued with his ideas about what was happening and why this time period is important.  Meanwhile, Doc Vega posted an article about a retired four-star Admiral blowing the whistle  on the Benghazi attacks.  Vega wrote that the new evidence brought forth by the retired Admiral James A. Lyons “promises to break the case wide open!”

                “… Finally, an authoritative figure with the proper credentials has stepped up to the plate to tell the true story of what did happen without the lies and cover-ups that have so far kept those guilty of murder from standing trial.  The admission on the part of this man will likely blow the Benghazi scandal wide open and lead to arrests if we can get our legal system to act as it should.  That, however, is a big if.”

                Vega claims that Admiral Lyons revealed “the entire plot that led to the deaths of Americans in Libya that could have been prevented, who gave the orders, and why events took place as they tragically did….  In his words Lyons says that the attack on Benghazi was a bungled kidnapping attempt to be perpetrated upon Ambassador Stevens.  This was to appear to be a hostage exchange for a terrorist prisoner who was to be released in trade for a supposedly captured US ambassador.  The trade would have been for Omar Abdel Rahman, an international prisoner, known as the Blind Sheikh.

                “This apparent abduction by terrorists of our ambassador and then negotiated trade for the Blind Sheikh would have been the `October Surprise’ that would have elevated President Obama’s flagging popularity and boosted his approval ratings for a re-election.  A dramatic prisoner exchange that saved our ambassador’s life.  However, something went horribly wrong…..

                “With what should have been only a staged kidnapping of Ambassador J. Christian Stevens, instead, Navy Seals Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty refused a stand down order and began doing their job of protecting the ambassador using force.  Immediately the well-trained Seals began inflicting heavy casualties upon the terrorists who thought they were merely in a cake walk to abduct Ambassador Stevens without mishap.  As a result of the plan going awry, a massive attack arose from the anger of the terrorists who felt they had been betrayed by President Obama.  In the aftermath of the battle which saw Navy Seal Glen Doherty killed after the embassy had been overrun along with the ambassador’s staff.  Ambassador Steven’s body showed up 5 hours later at a Benghazi hospital supposedly overcome by smoke, but as the initial foreign press reports indicated a much different outcome, in fact, Stevens was raped, tortured, and dragged around Benghazi in retaliation for the botched Obama White House plan.  If not for foreign press agents, who were there and saw, we would never have known the truth as the sold out leftist media of the US would have hidden this fact to aid President Obama’s campaign efforts.”

                Megyn Kelly interviewed Admiral Lyons on November 5, 2012.

                The Washington Times published an article by Admiral Lyons himself stating that the report by Independent Accountability Review Board about the attack on Benghazi leaves important questions unanswered.  Here are some of his questions:  “How could the CIA not detect the planning or the movement of the jihadists who carried out the `organized’ attack?”  [Why weren’t the two Marine anti-terrorist teams based in Rota, Spain, deployed to Benghazi and Tripoli?]  “Why [didn’t we] secure the Benghazi mission compound?  What is it that our personnel were kept from seeing?”  [Why wasn’t the 130-man, fully armed and well-led Marine Force-Recon unit on the ground in Sigonella, Sicily, sent to Benghazi since they “could have been in Benghazi in a matter of a few hours”?]  [Why wasn’t a fighter aircraft sent to “make a low pass in full after-burner since it has been used in similar circumstances as “an effective tactic for dispersing a mob”?]   “Why [didn’t we] request security assistance from the Turkish or Italian Benghazi consulates or the British security team that reportedly was at the mission compound only one hour before the attack?  Each has stated that they would have provided support but were never asked.  Why?” “What important activity was being conducted at our Benghazi mission compound to cause Stevens to have to be there on the night of Sept. 11 to meet the Turkish consul general, even though he feared for his safety?”

                Admiral Lyons concluded his article, “This is a major betrayal that cost the lives of four Americans.  Congress needs to form a special bipartisan investigative committee to uncover the facts and make them known to the American public.  Nothing less is acceptable.”

                It sounds to me that we really do need to have a special investigator looking into the Benghazi attacks.  The report that the murder of Ambassador Stevens was the result of a botched kidnapping attempt would answer a lot of questions.  If Obama really did arrange to have our Ambassador kidnapped to exchange for the Blind Sheikh for his own political advantage, then he needs to be held accountable.  If this is true, he would in fact have blood on his hands.  No wonder he went and hid for 18 ½ hours!

More on Benghazi

            The House Oversight Committee began another round of Benghazi hearings today.  The truth is slowly coming out because brave whistle-blowers are coming forward with first-hand information about what took place in Benghazi.  The leaked information portrays the Obama Administration as liars who spun a web of deceit.  Since the attacks took place just before the 2012 Presidential Election, we can safely assume the deceit took place for political reason.  The Oversight Committee hearing can be found on YouTube, with a very interesting exchange here.  

                Nearly eight months ago and on the eleventh anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on America, a United States facility was attacked in Benghazi, Libya.  The attacks claimed the lives of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens, State Department employee Sean Smith, and two former Navy SEALs Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods.  Doherty and Woods fought bravely but were abandoned by the U.S. government.  Survivors of the attacks were rescued about twenty hours later, brought back to the United States and instructed to keep quiet.

                Although the Obama Administration was aware the facility was attacked by Islamic militants, they initially claimed that the attack took place because of a video critical of Islam was posted on YouTube.  President Barack Obama, former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice all made statements condemning the video and calling it “terribly offensive.” 

Glenn Beck and The Blaze have claimed for more than seven months that the Administration was being dishonest with us.  The new information is coming from whistle-blowers – from both the State Department and the Central Intelligence Agency – who have first-hand information about what took place.  These courageous federal employees are risking their careers – and possibly their lives – by coming forward.  One of the claims to be confirmed by the whistle-blowers is the confirmation that a “stand down order” was given to the Special Forces team that could have reached the Americans before the second attack took place.

Beck reminded his listeners on Tuesday morning that he “came out three, four days into [the Benghazi thing] and I said:  `This is what I believe is happening.’  And I laid the story out.  And so far everything but the gun-running is panning out.  And I was told by a source last night that the gunrunning thing is a foregone conclusion, everyone in Washington, they all know it was gunrunning to Syrian rebels, which are now headed by the Muslim Brotherhood guy from Dallas, Texas.  The circle is complete.”

Beck added, “The media had this story dead to rights, they could’ve easily done this story and it would’ve changed the course of the election, but instead, now we have to go through scandal for the next three years.  We’re going to have to question Clinton and everybody in the State Department.”

Our President, our former Secretary of State, and other national leaders lied to us about the video and have done their best to cover up the happenings in Benghazi with the willing assistance of the mainstream media.  I believe the congressional hearing brought out a lot of truth about what happened, why it happened, and who is responsible in order for true justice to take place.  I was relieved to hear Representative Issis say that the hearing was closed but the investigation remained open.

Benghazi Update

                Terrorists attacked Americans at a facility in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012.  The facility was first called an “embassy.”  Then it was called a “consulate.”  Now it is being referred to as the “Benghazi mission.”  Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed in the attack, and other people were injured.  Even though watching the attack in real time, the leaders of the United States did not send any help to the Americans at the facility.

No one has been brought to justice for the attack even though President Obama recently reiterated his pledge to make sure the perpetrators are caught and forced to answer for their attack.  “Our job with respect to Benghazi has been to find out exactly what happened, to make sure that U.S. embassies – not just in the Middle East but around the world – are safe and secure, and to bring those who carried it out to justice.”

                The attack took place more than seven months ago.  When are we going to start bringing the perpetrators to justice?  Apparently the mastermind behind the attack has been identified but still “walks free” in Libya. 

There were approximately thirty survivors of the attack who could probably give a lot of information about what happened, but they have apparently been secluded and kept out of the reach of investigators. When are we going to hear their stories?

                Recently four career officials at the State Department and the Central Intelligence Agency have decided to retain lawyers and “are prepare to provide sensitive information about the Benghazi attacks to Congress.”  Attorney Victoria Toensing is now representing one of the whistle blowers, and she said that they “have been threatened by unnamed Obama administration officials.”  `I’m not talking generally; I’m talking specifically about Benghazi – that people have been threatened.  And not just the State Department.  People have been threatened at the CIA.’”

                Adam Housley of Fox News interviewed a special operator who is frustrated by the lack of action from our government.  He was on the ground during the attack and also debriefed the responders; he was disguised for his own protection.  He asked to remain anonymous but “is speaking out because he’s `frustrated with the excuses, lies, and lack of a military response’ from the current administration.”  He said that “we’re messing up” on this investigation.  “We have all the capability, all the training, all the capacity to kill and capture not only terrorists involved with the specific events of [September 11] and Ambassador Steven’s death, but terrorists who are feeding other regions including Europe, that could eventually affect our national security – in the short term.  We’re not talking in mid-term or long-term; we’re talking short-term….  It’s a daily frustration.  [Emphasis added.]”

                Former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton lost her cool while she testified to Congress in January about the Benghazi attack.  After a “series of questions” asked by Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin), Clinton yelled her response:  “With all due respect, the fact is we have four dead Americans.  Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided they’d go kill some Americans.  What difference at this point does it make?”

                Jay Carney, White House spokesman, last week responded to a question about Benghazi whistleblowers being prevented from coming forward.  “Let’s be clear.  Benghazi happened a long time ago.”  Apparently he thinks it does not make any difference that four Americans were killed in the attack and our government is lying to the American public.  He added, “We are unaware of any agency blocking an employee who would like to appear before Congress to provide information related to Benghazi.”  President Obama also said that he was unaware of any such problem.  Secretary of State John Kerry has also been out trying to cover up any tracks.

                The FBI has recently posted a request for photographs of the Benghazi attack.  A man asked Rush Limbaugh a very important question recently, one that Rush admitted stood just as it was asked and without any comment by him.  The question had to do with why the FBI is just now – more than seven months after the fact – asking for these photographs when they asked for photographs of the Boston Marathon bombing within four days of that attack.

                Doug Hagmann published an article entitled “Trinkets of Treason” in which he claims we are “witnessing one of the biggest government cover-ups since Watergate.  A cover-up that involves murder, arms trafficking, and lies by high ranking officials under oath.

                “It involves the murderous attacks in Benghazi, and congressional investigators just released a 46-page interim progress report that at least exposes Hillary Rodham Clinton and the White House lying under oath.  Where’s the accountability?  Where’s the outrage?  Where’s the media?

                “A 46-page interim progress report of an ongoing investigation across five House Committees by the U.S. House of Representatives was released on Tuesday, April 23, 2013.  The executive summary states that former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton signed off on a reduction on of diplomatic security forces suggesting that this reduction of security was, in large part, to blame for the attack in Benghazi on September 11, 2012.  The report emphasizes that this is `inconsistent’ with her sworn testimony of January 23, 2013.  Simply stated, Hillary Rodham Clinton lied under oath to congressional investigators.”

                “Additionally, the interim report states that official press talking points issued by the U.S. intelligence community were altered by the White House and Senior State Department officials on Saturday, September 15, 2012, for the sole purpose of protecting the State Department.  It was emphasized that these alterations were not for protecting any classified information whatsoever.”

                Hagman believes that the facility in Benghazi was there to serve “as a logistics center for arms and weapons transfers from Libya” but “ultimately destined for the anti-Assad terrorists in Syria.  It was used by the `State Department’s CIA,’ which is quite different than the actual CIA known by Americans….  It is from this covert intelligence operation directed by the highest levels of our government where we will find the truth about Benghazi and expose the lies about Libya and the globalist plans that have ignited the fuse for World War III.”

                According to Hagmann, the congressional interim report “does not address the biggest lies of all.” “The U.S., by direct orders of Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, are working closely with the Saudis to destroy and remake nations for a larger plan drafted by larger global interests, including a `takeover of America.’”

                Hagmann insists that “the lies continue” and that the attack in Benghazi is connected with the bombing of the Boston Marathon.  His entire article is well worth the time to read it.

                Please do not let the deaths of Americans in Benghazi be swept away as inconsequential.  Richard Nixon was forced to resign the office of President of the United States for Watergate – and no one was killed in the Watergate operation. The mainstream media forced his resignation, but they are covering up the Benghazi situation.  We must stay alert and really listen to the words that are spoken by the administration.  We must read between the lines.  We must insist on the truth.  We must support the whistleblowers!
